Lost and 24 new seasons?

Anyone know when Lost season 3 will start? Same question for 24 season 6.

Quick search with google, looks like there will be a couple (7~) episodes of Lost in October, and the others in January. As for 24, saw it would only begin in January...

Anyone have any date for these series, or is there any commercials on US TV yet?

I like how 24 does their season. Waits until January, and then runs 24 new episodes straight until the beginning of summer.

I get so angry at shows that go a few weeks with reruns.

omg, I can't wait for Lost and 24... and actually, the show I'm looking forward to the most is Battlestar Galactica, imo best 1 hr show ever produced for television... before watching BSG, I thought Lost was the jam.

I thought I read somewhere that 24 starts January 17. Don't quote me on that, though.

I also read it takes place 20 months after season 5, putting the total time spanned over the course of the series 9.22222222222222222222222222222222222222223 years.

I believe it's 6 weeks new, 13 weeks reruns (or something else), then the rest of the season all in one chunk.

Personally, I'd much rather see this format than last season's pattern of:

New episode
2 weeks reruns
1 week rerun
1 week off for something
1 week recap show billed as new
New episode
Repeat

That's a little bit of an exaggeration, but they were averaging 1 episode every 3 weeks for the good chunk of the spring.

If anyone watches Nip/Tuck, The Shield or Rescue Me, the network (USA? FX? I forget) runs all the new episodes of a season each week for 3 or 4 months. Then they switch to the next show for a new season, then the third show for a season, then back to the first.
