Ok, so I just downloded a game thats 5.2 gigabytes, now the DVD-ROM's i have only hold 4.7 GB, is there anything I can do to compress the size / can I split the file in two and burn it onto two DVD's?

just mount the image using daemontools

but if you insist, sometimes they don't always burn to the same size. check in your burning software to see how much space it'll actually take.

erm, burn something with it. if it constantly gives you coasters, you've got a bad burner.
