Nope. I tried this (only with 3, so we didn't get nearly as far as the other group did). Fomor are unique in that even though they're dark-based, Lullaby rarely works.

Blu works great for this, as did blm, and Sam.

Their weak by themselves. one Gekko or blu spell did them in. A -Ga 3 clears the room nicely. I'd say maybe 400-600 hit points a piece, but real soft defense. They hit like bitches too.

It's pretty much like above poster said, only one thing I noticed. they don't come in waves based on when you kill them, it seemed like it was all based on time, for example. We'd get one set of 9, be halfway through killing them and the next set of however many popped on top of the fighting. no huge problem. you could normally clean them quick enough, and it it got overwhelming a thundaga 3 gave us some breathing room.

Then you get the NM, the "large imp". He popped in, very quickly, dropped either gravity-ga, sleepga 2, or paralyze-ga on us, and ran away about flee speed. Then another wave of imp/fomors would spawn in increasing numbers. The imps would almost always open with ancient magic while the fomors either charged punching, nuked tier 3s, or sniped us. They all tend to agro the same time on whoever's closest. They didn't appear to share hate, but it was pretty hectic.

We kept this up for about 6-7 rounds until he got us on the sleepga, then 4 imps all cast AM on our ninja. Once the bodies started hitting the floor there were simply too many monsters to keep pace. It was hard to tell, but it felt like they got progressively harder in the second round. Our ninja is saying he died to one of the little imps(not the NM) casting flood 2 on him.

Sorry this isn't more detailed. it's late and I'm tired. Best thing I can see to do is kill the NM fast, it felt like the mission stops when he dies.

We tried it with 5, and went down sometime around the 9 fomor point. Also I noticed they weren't really spawning all at once so much as one popping every few seconds. Also important to note that getting kicked after a wipe will clear RR, a little like getting kicked from dynamis while dead. Good thing I have plenty of buffer at least

did the later rounds of mobs have the same hp? could this be manaburns if you get blm's to alternate ga3 and resting?

got boss to 19%, meh... then i died and we wiped heh... imps and fomors start mixing and matching their sets, we lasted 25 mins or so...

does rarely mean that sleep did work sometimes? did your brd have merrits and full chr gear or mp gear cuz of only 3?

We're gonna try again, sleepga didnt totally assfuck us but it caused us to fall behind just enough to lose ground. Going back in with a nin, a PLD/NIN, me on WAR instead of nin this time, a BLM, a WHM, and another war. Hate to say it, but BRD is useless here.

I have a feeling if you actually kill the imp youll get better drops (we only got it to like 30%) but as for now, meh.
