    Ranged Attack change, info prz

Brother is a 75 RNG ... killing Tremors in KH he says he is noticing that his damage doesn't seem to vary as much with distance as it used to, but DMG better close-up than before.

Is that a correct assessment? Anyone else been able to conduct some tests?

I'm leveling lolTHF atm so I just hope I can stick acids with something close to the consistency I did prepatch when I leveled to 37.

Got same results here, less variation in DMG with distance (nearly no variation Oo). "Almost" possible to melee + shoot with xbow, but still not as powerfull as it was 1 year ago

Some of my LS Rangers are reporting pre-nerf levels of damage, though accuracy doesn't seem to be as drasticly increased.

maybe people can see a bigger difference with the change if they change their gear and food they eat by going +rng acc and meat or +rng attack and +str and sushi. i havent played around on my rng yet but it seems to me that this update gives us alot more options in how we gear up because the rng acc and rng attack we have in gear and food has a bigger impact than before.

Good point. Seems as though with the distance patching RNGs were very limited into whoring as much R.Acc as they could get. Now they can acutally vary their subs a bit (maybe even bring back the long-forgotten /THF and /WAR Rangers) and play around with food/gear more instaed of playing in constant fear of missing every damn shot.

I just had to test this `` Seems that you only lose about 20~ damage per shot at point blank distance. Personally, I have found great increases in R.Acc, both up close and optimal distance. /WAR and berserk still adds immense damage, but it's deffenently compensated by the meele dmg of /NIN dualing axes. I'd like to see RNG dmg on HNMs now. Anyone tested RNG on fafnir or behe after this update?

Well if its just a small diffrence from every weapon, I bet Ebow is still gonna be the best.

You know it's subjective really. In thickets, I would say HF+1 would be best because you really cant land acid proc on puks very reliably. I would still prefer obow over HF+1 in mire. Snapshot really makes obow a beast, especially with a good MND set.
