Official FF12 TOPIC -- Gameplay/Advancing/??s/Spoilers/Etc./

There are two seperate (actually 3 but one got locked) FF12 threads, so I think we should just have one official thread to make it less confusing, and so we don't have to keep switching through the two real threads.

Any spoilers please post it in white i.e. white font color so those of us that aren't as far along don't get spoiled and upset and cry a river.

It just seems we need one universal FF12 topic instead of 20. Post whatever you want about the game. Including your progression, questions, cool things you find, everything.

I guess do the small text thing when posting spoilers though. I'm so used to the default skin from going to this forum and the old WoW forum that the new skins were confusing hehe.

Small font works though I just don't want people to be spoiled!

It would be smarter to have a spoiler thread and a non spoiler thread anyway.

The sticky is full of spoilers so i avoid it, the other one isn't so bad.

I found a great place to make gil. SPOILER MAYBE

When you get to a certain village on the way there you will see these iron unicorns. They travel in pairs. They drop iron carapice + you can steal one per horse. They sell for like 498 gil each and they are used to open the golden armor set in bazaar which is a nice set (at least I hope it will be for the next section)

On your first mark. The hunt for the tomato mandragora. I went around killing wolfs, cactites, and round cockatrices. Eventually I see this bigass dinosaur. I figure I'll kill the tomato and then try my hand at the dinosaur. So I kill the tomato. Then I go down to the dinosaur. I figure, maybe I can kite him a bit and win like that.....


Yeah, no. One shot kill.

Have done it basically every possible spot where something big can jump out at you and go BOO!

After about hour 5, I started saving every time I went to a crystal, even just walking around town.

I saw it attack and 1shot a wolf, I said to myself, hmm, it takes me several slashes to kill a wolf, Im going to assume I wont be able to touch that for a while. killed the tomato and left

Hahahah, That my friends is why I decided to Libra it. 6400 hp and level 27 ftw.
That is when I walked away.

even where I am in the game, unless I'm in a boss fight I keep the EQ: Libra accessory on ldr always.

Question for you people's. I have a shell shield, at first glance I can't see using it over my gold shield, but it is EQ. Shell and I don't have that shell / can't see me wasting the MP to cast it.

Is shell that good in FFXII? Or do I NPC it for 7500.
