I can't seem to find a good gun for him other than the second gun available right after leaving Rabanastre and into Lhusu mines but I just can't see him using anything other than guns for now so he gets to stay as my second range attacker.

That ENTIRE cutscene pretty much everyone owned it, but Balthier was the man at the end with Fran, it made me tear up!

The thing I don't like/get about Balthier is that in the intro booklet they say he's 22. If he left the empire 6 years ago when his father went nuts (unless he stayed for a bit, but still my point will stand) he was 16 and he was a judge for a bit, that early?

They have Ashe at like 19 or something I think which means she was a widow at age 17 but in a semi-medievil timeframe girls getting married mid-teens wasn't abnormal, males getting high-end jobs at 16 is still, though.

Well they don't say he was a Named judge, such as the magisters. If he was raised in military school then he could have been taught to be released as an officer (I think that's how it's done irl sometimes?) and since it's final fantasy, young commanding soliders (Squall, Quistis) would be common, but yeah 15 year old would be pretty young >_>
