Bushido Cape

My question is: Is this better than having an Amemet, or should I have both? How often does that Zanshin boost kick in?

only a 65 SAM, but imo it's still a POS
As someone said, Zanshin only helps those that suck get marginally better. If you're already good it does almost nothing. (Unless in this case this equip is something mindboggling like +50% Zanshin proc)
Take it how you well
I wonder what job miss a lot that could benafit from this.

Is this a joke post?

Just for reference, I did a quick Excel chart (better than SE's!):
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...Zero/zrate.gif
So.. if you parse at 50% accuracy on a given mob, assuming you had 10% Zanshin proc rate, you'd gain a whopping 2.5% to your parsed accuracy. So you'd be parsing at 52.5% accuracy.
50% is, by far, the most "efficient" parsed accuracy rate to make the most of Zanshin, but since that isn't very practical, let's look at something a little more typical.
If you parse at 75% on a given mob without Zanshin, you'll parse at 76.85% with 10% Zanshin proc rate. If you parse at 85% on a given mob without Zanshin, you'll parse at 86.25% with 10% Zanshin proc rate.
And this is all assuming a very generous 10% Zanshin rate. You can see what happens with more realistic proc rates.
Nice job on the chart.
But, I think it's generally accepted that Zanshin is (or at least is now) a 20% proc rate. I tend to agree that it's at least 20% if not more. Either way in the end it's still going to be a small increase in overall accuracy though, so meh.
Zanshin would be good if it can work during a WS.
Don't get me wrong, Zanshin is nice when it happens, and if there were any items with good stats on them and +Zanshin I'd be all over them like a fat kid on free cake.
But there aren't. The Myochin Sune-Ate+1 have +5 Enmity on them, which relegates them to situational use only (they are the best thing available for hate-planting with Trick Attack only), the Bushido Cape simply isn't as effective as Amemet (NQ or +1), or Forager's, and the Amir Korazin suffers due to not being a Hauburgeon.
EDIT:
It can. It's just most SAM don't miss to begin with.Originally Posted by Not Kuno

I'd get the cape if zanshin kicked in on missed soboro swings when blinded.
Might be good for relic GK where any misses hurt pretty bad since a miss is a lost opportunity for the 2.5fold(or is it 2x) damage to kick in.
I'd get the cape if I could equip it and Amemit/Forager's at the same time.
