Drk weapon question

If you could only get one, ignoring the price/effort etc to get, which would be better for Dark Knight? A kraken club or apocolypse?

I'm no drk but I am voting kraken, 10,000 DMG in 30 seconds - 1 min [how ever long their 2hr last] is irreplaceable.

I'd say Kraken Club is better, but if you have the gil to get a Relic Weapon, whats stopping you from getting a Kraken also? (not sure how much Kraken is on your server, its only like 50-55M on Siren.) Relics are still about 300m? But yeah, to answer your question, Apocalypse isnt going to dish out 10-15k damage in the span of Blood Weapon. (one of our DRKs did 14,000 damage on KV and KV died before his two hour ran out.) Also another edit, can't really expect a Kraken to make your DRK amazing...if you dont gear correctly with correct HP, haste, accuracy gear, and have the merits to compliment it, you'll be doing 8k damage instead of 14k.

Kraken is 70m+ and this relic (since its byne) is probably around 200m.

Well, you can always trade the KC to others for using when that Drk gets tired and is going to quit, instead of seeing that Apocalypse and the Drk quit when she/he is disappointed that the Apocalypse he/she and his/her ls spent so much time and effort for is not what they expected (Excalibur); also everyone already covered, when it really counts and you need the most dmg, 2hr + KC with the right gear, is just sick.

Yeah, LS member is doing Apocalypse atm, 4th stage is Byne, but last stage is shells...so that doesnt really help much.

so you could get apocalypse or 2.x kraken (assuming it was linkshell fund) or a kraken and some aegis/relic horn, or if it's a single player's funds, kraken and maybe speed belt or other gear...
apocalypse has some uses for renkei, and it's permanently on unlike soul eater KC, doesn't give a mob super-tp, and so on, but other jobs (samurai) might be considered to be more useful with a relic (again this depends on if it's ls or individual paying).

if i had the 200m and trusted ls members, i'd put it into aegis/horn/amanogkt, otherwise (ie. spending on self) i'd go for relic and assume i could make gil for KC later.

ask someone who has apocalypse, the rest of us know nothing^^

Yeah, that's the truth really, you generally don't get a relic weapon exclusively for utility. The utility you get out of a relic probably isn't worth the work you have to put in. You do a relic to have a relic. Kraken is e-peen too, but it's not big and golden and such. And while a Kraken is amazing for big fights, a relic will be good for just about anything.

So yeah, I wouldn't decide which I wanted based on which can do more damage. Just fill in the blank: "Man, that Kuno guy has a ____. I wish i was cool like him."
