Military Harp Question

Quick question regarding the military harp. Other than maybe as skillup fodder for stringed, exactly what use do I have for the +2 Finale effect? As you can sense, I'm rather tentative about putting down nearly 300k for an item with only a marginal boost to effectivness.

for that particular song, it only boosts its accuracy. don't bother, unless you like a sense of completion, because it won't do much of anything.

Wind skill > String skill anyway

uhh, you don't really need to get it. It only thing it's remotely useful for is dispelling NMs, but if you're a smart BRD you will have gotten as much wind skill as possible so it wouldn't make that much of a difference.

If you're bored and have sea access, you can level string on guppies. Just spam threnodies on them. It doesn't matter if they actually land or not, it levels it real fast.

You'd have to be really bored to do this though.

I thought they only fixed the weapon skillup vs hpemdes. You can still do things like stun them and get dark magic skillups, etc.

with under 100 skill in Dynamis, it happens every time you actually hit something (which feels to me like 1/20).

2) Finale almost never misses

3) Military harp = fail or e-penis

kinda miss skilling up archery and marksmanship, it was usually within the first 3-5 mobs after level that you were capped, and those special just after level barrages of .3, .4, .3, .5, .1 -- nothing like knowing your arrows did so well

Didn't they ninja-fix this a little while ago? My friend had made a plan to skillup her throwing for the sake of having blue numbers on her BLM on crabs, sleeping them and chucking her lamiabane at it. It worked for a while, even though every hit landed for 0, but there was a version update and the skillups just... stopped. Have the reported skillups been recent?

yes, BLM can sub RNG and throw tathlums (regular ones, LOL!). They have a "D" in throwing.
