I currently have the playstation version of FFXI (with all expansions). I'm wanting to restart but there's no longer any PS2 ffxi versions sold without rebuying the entire hard drive and everything for 100 bucks. If I bought the PC version (the collector box, way cheaper) and just used the PC info on my PS2, would that work?

Yes, although you'd have to already have your hard drive with FFXI and expansions all installed.

Yes. FFXI/POL doesn't care where you log your content ID in from- PC, Xbox, or PS2. Just as long as it's legit and the appropriate expansions are installed.

The only issue that may come up (and Im not sure if I am right here), is that you may have to purchase any further expansions and register them on the same system?

I know that you cant use expansions from different locations (I initially ordered FFXI from USA, so now I cant register expansions that are stocked in Australian stores on my account, even though I can log my account in from an American's PC or visa versa). Im not sure if this applies cross-platform too or not.
