    RL Chuck Norris +1

I'm apparently about a month late on this story (working in China the last few months), so many people have probably read about it already (I did a search and nothing came up >_<)... but for those who haven't read anything on this guy yet, this is some high quality entertainment.

I would start here to get the basics:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksey_Vayner

Then check out the actual CV Video at Youtube:

The people who were responsible for investigating some of the tall tales:

    Enjoy ~

    this guys a fucking moron.

hey let me try to bench 5 plates with THREE GUYS HOLDING IT instead of just doing 2 or 3 plates on my own strentgh and actually getting something out of it!

It is kind of funny, because if he really was a successful person he would capitalize on his new found fame.

He could really run with this but instead he is trying to sue people to get material removed which makes him a failure.

More successful people taking advantage of his situation.. lol, irony.

His resume is made of lol. I'm sure the rest of the associated content will be equally amusing.

LMFAO, if I had people spot* me like that when I benched, I could probably bench a good 600 pounds.

*That was not spotting, that was, as stated before in this thread, 3 guys holding the damn bar while he benched it; what a douche kekeke.

When you're trying to go for your max and you have enough weight on there where 1 guy couldn't lift it off you if you can't do it then you have people spot like that. I've seen it before in the gym, not that much though. (I'm not in the gym much so don't go all psycho-steroid-dude on me if this is "wrong", but I've seen it)

Anyways I'm not trying to stick up for the guy.. It's pretty obvious the guys in that film were helping him out just to make him look tough.

My question is how did he get into Yale? I know getting into an ivy league mostly depends on your wallet, but you'd think they'd weed this guy out earlier!

Before i hurt my shoulder i was in the weightroom 6 days a week and had been active in a gym for quite some time. (not getting huge, just getting in shape for baseball). And while i understand having someone help you get the bar off the bench at the start, it's not your max if 3 people are helping you lift it. If they help you get it off, and you can then lower it to your chest, then extend your arms without any help at all, then it's your max.

This guy is just retarded, plain and simple.

Aside from the fact he created a fake investment company and fake childrens charity to put on his resume (among other bs), these were my favorite of his claims a la Chuck Norris ~

He claimed that he "is one of four people in the state of Connecticut qualified to handle nuclear waste".

He was employed by both the Mafia and the CIA during his childhood.

He gave tennis lessons to Harrison Ford, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Jerry Seinfeld. He further claims to have won two games in a tennis match against Pete Sampras.

He is a specialist in "Chinese orthopedic massage."

The Dalai Lama had apparently written his college recommendation.

He has killed two dozen men in Tibetan gladiatorial contests.

He claimed to be "an action star, an espionage expert, and a professional athlete. He would be on the C.I.A. firing range one day and at a martial-arts competition that took place in a secret system of tunnels underneath Woodstock, New York."

    ?? This was SERIOUS?

My god I thought this was just some joke when I read about it and saw the interview...wow, that's going to keep me up tonight thinking about how egotistic people can be/are.

8th Dan in Shaolin Kung Fu was right up there with killing a couple dozen Tibetan gladiators for my favorite. Working for both the Mafia and CIA was a close third.

The fact that he actually expected anyone to take him seriously was truly amazing. How one person can be so delusional is truly impressive.

I would think by my comment that'd be apparent. Although i'm flattered that out of everything in this thread you'd refer to me as 'him'

orz, him = the subject of the topic. people = you. You are taking this too seriously. You quote me with something that proves you are taking this seriously. Guys! It's a joke! I'm sure the legal threats were too.

It's like watching Star Wars with an astronaut.

    there are two possibilities.

    1) it is serious, and everything i've said stands
    or.
    2) it's not funny anyway, and everything i've said stands.
