You're seeing blue and calling it purple. This will forever be true until you either start calling it blue or the CIE decides to change the name of light wavelengths of 450~500nm to "purple."
Then I'll be working with RGP values. My can of Pepsi will be a Cyan-Purple. When I get sad I'll tell people I'm feeling purple and probably listen to some purples. I'll refer to my very loyal friend as being true-purple and bake him a purpleberry pie as thanks. And, once in a purple-moon, I'll think back to the days when we didn't call blue "purple."
