Merit Points & Main Job

For anyone who has more than 1 Lv 75 job,

1) What lv 75 jobs do you have ?
2) What did you merit ?
3) Did you feel gimp with non-merit lv 75 job ?

Such as being a WAR 75 with 0 axe merits but 8 katana merits because you're main NIN.

What do you feel if you have to play your gimped 75 job rather than your main job ? good, indifferent or meh ..

I've NIN, PLD, BRD, BLU at 75 .. I merited swords and evasions. My NIN's Jin is only 7-800ish max which I think is inferior to other NINs.

And yea ... I merited blue magic so my lullaby and elegy have very shitty accuracy lol.

if you feel your Jins are gimp, I can say pretty confidently that a lack of katana merits wouldn't be the reason. It's probably in the gear you use.

Blm Whm Smn .... I merited on my taru. Blm with merits definatly noticeable same with Whm. Blm Whm Nin I dont merit shit on my hume and I feel extremly gimp on Blm and just the same on Whm. Someone mentioned above about your gear for Jin which imo is what is holding you back, it isn't merits. Stack str I guess, its not like your going to 1 shot a mob anyway. Just do what I do and get 2 x war to static with so they can cover your shortcomings

This thread illustrates a legitimate enough concern to many 'endgame' players. Just because the guy isn't asking something related to a king or bitching about rmts doesn't mean his topic isn't relevant.

Oh the dilemma! I have multiple jobs at 75! What to merit, what to merit? It's so tricky. There are jobs I like. Hmmm... I could merit those. There are jobs I play a lot for events and such. Hmmm... I could merit those. There are jobs I want to level in future that I would really like / play a lot at events, I could merit those things to benefit those... How to decided. >_<
Merit what ever you like, its your game, play it how you want. There are plenty of things you shouldn’t merit, like warcry for example. I personally feel that while capping merits it's better to spread them out as much as possible so you get the most benefit return for effort put in. There's no point in capping STR to 5 when the last 3 stages cost 9 points, when you could be spending a maximum of 3 in a weapon's skill.
I don't see why you need a topic for common sense.
