Actually is typically between the 12-17th day of the cycle that is it, since ovalution causes a chemical change to help sperm survive. However before that it has a very short life and will be killed by the acidic properties faster.

Now this is not 100%, but as long as your girl is constant (and I mean within 1 maybe 2 days of her period its usually safe to go by) this should be no problem.

The pill is basically a temporary vasectomy in all essense, it is just not a physical cut of the seminal tube. So you still get everything else except sperm. So you will have no chance of having kids.

I see this more of an out-right alternative to every other form of protection for MARRIED couples and steady couples.
