    They kind of backpedaled Chase a bit, in that he ended up taking House's job when the whole point of leaving was to move on as a person. However that is ok because Chase is awesome and this ending was pretty damn perfect.

    I thought the point of moving on was to get a diagnostic dept somewhere else anyways. If he stayed there he'd always get trumped by House. Ending kinda fixed that problem.

    Shore said they did that because Chase had a scheduling conflict so they had to come up with something.

    Also, he turned down getting his own diagnostics team because he would have been in House's shadow and constantly compared to him. With House gone, that's no longer an issue.

    Really loved the finale... totally got brotears during the Wake scene . Kinda pissed they left Cuddy out completely though, pretty lame.
    About the whole Chase thing, he probably took the job to honor House, even though he wanted to be out of his shadow. Just leaves room for his own spinoff which I am OK with lol.

    finally got caught up on the DVR. Fucking amazing series finale.

    There were a ton of great parts, starting with Kutner and Amber. Cameron as a hallucination was fucking creepy.

    It had a happy ending, but the whole fake death thing to me was styled very much in a Sherlock Holmes manner.

    And for the record, ending the series with the Enjoy Yourself song was a complete mindfuck for me. One of the most haunting scenes in the entire series was the Amber hallucination where she sang to him in the bar/diner (fifth season finale I think), and while the Guy Lombardo version at the series end was much more upbeat, it really cast a shadow on the whole "happily ever after" feeling.
