A look into the future (FF games on Virtual Console)

So, after a long night of drinking, I got into a typical argument with my friend Tim.

Tim said that there's "no way" that Final Fantasy games will be available for download on the virtual console.

I said there would be for sure.

Now, granted, neither of us had any fucking clue, and were just going on gut instinct.

He made a $20 bet that there would not be 4 Final Fantasy previously released titles on the Virtual Console by Dec. 16th, 2008. He even threw in Crono Trigger as a game that counted.

This means any FF game (1-12, Mystic Quest, Tactics...I guess we never discussed FF games on the Gameboy or GBA [Tactics advance/Legend/Adventure, but I'm fucking counting them], and Chrono Trigger).

Will I be out $20 in two years, or no? (I'm betting there will be 4+)

I'd say yes, if the GBA games were any indication.

But they probably won't port the PS games over, only those on the NES/SNES/DS.

Well, this was after the power hour, and after the bar that followed, and after the 3 a.m. pizza that followed that.

We'd run out of things to talk about that you talk about when "hot chicks" are around, and since they were gone, it was wherever our drunk minds went. I think it was because he wants to go to Best Buy on Sunday morning to camp their 30 Wii shipment order. I may go along.
