    should probably include this: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14585

and the pages 7-9 of the "Salvage" topic for info on Bhaflau Remnants.

If my LS doesnt do Jeuno tonight we're gonna go for Bhaflau again, but i doubt we'll find out any new info on NMs or how to kill the boss =/

**edited so ppl don't get misled when doing this salvage:
To the east, when you initially enter, on the first floor, there is a room with a bomb and some erucas. It's important that you not link the bomb or any of the mobs but rather kill one at a time. These mobs are considerably harder than the 1st floor mobs in Zhaylom (for instance) and you need mnk/drg/pup most likely with hi-pots and rr items to get these initial cells effectively.

    **(original post that was misleading):
Ok, so the first thing that should be posted on this thread is that on the first floor, you cannot kill the bomb (bifrons) even though it's the first thing you come to in the east after you enter. If you aggro the bomb, your entire alliance will die, guaranteed. Seemingly you have to sneak/invis past the bifron and eruca room in order to get to the scorps which drop magic.

The bombs are easier than any other monster in this Salvage.

Our alliance killed an eruca. The eruca was much easier to kill than the bifron. It seems you would need to go for the scorps in the central room first to unlock magic?

Bombs have about 4HP, they're far easier than the other mobs on first floor. If you aren't bringing hi-pots for the first part then just give up.

We were having a very difficult time doing dmg to the bomb. Do you guys usually try to kill the bombs first or invis past them to get to the mobs that drop magic cells??

On our first two salvage runs, our group went to Zhaylom Remnants. In Zhaylom, the mobs on the first floor are disgustingly easy and hit very weak, even with everything locked, we could kill multiple mobs on the first floor. Bhauflau, on the other hand, suprised us because the first mobs we encountered were significantly harder than the Zhaylom mobs. We were doing no dmg to the bifrons and it was casting firaga II etc. on our alliance which was owning everyone ; ;.

bomb drop weapon, and they are much easier than wamoura. You need at least 1 mnk with hi potion for the first couple, or it wont be possible.

ok, I found out about the Dormant Ramparts...atleast two of em.

First one spawns when you kill Mad Bomber, you have to KILL it, not let it blow up. Dormant Rampart is a gate, using it ports you to a room with a Reactionary Rampart. Damaging it causes it to spawn mobs. The one from Mad Bomber brings you to the chigoe room. We let it spawn 5 chigoes, since the dats say theres another mob, but no more started spawning. Eventually we killed RR and we got ported out. I thought that holding 5 mobs up would make it spawn the 6th mob, "Gate Widow", but that didnt go as planned. Killing the RR dropped a Bhaflau Card.

On the second floor are 4 Flans, killing those spawns another DR, and using that one sends you the same room, except with a RR that spawns Wasps. We did the hold 5 mobs up again, but with the same result. We killed the RR again, and then I started thinking it works like Alastor Antlion. Unfortunately, I didnt find out how to pop the other two Dormant Ramparts, but I'd wager they are on the 3rd and 4th floors.

LBC raped us in the ass again. These did NOT weaken the boss in any form. If someone gets to the room with a Reactionary Rampart, can you try various things to get the specific NM to spawn (Chigoe->Gate Widow, Hunting Wasp->Skirmish Pephredo), or how you got the other two DR's to spawn.

bombs arent hard and neither are erucas

we have been sticking to this zone since salvage opened just because we want to get an idea of how to beat the boss

making it to the boss doesn't seem to hard so long as you don't waste alot of time on gear floors and farming extra items for your melee.

boss seems very weak to ice(i think) but since most of the time we stick to the west path over the east past we dont get alot of magic and duping hasting working from Slots and havent found a socket since we heard about poping NM etc.

next time we are going to go the east path and attempt to get all our mages magic

    BOSS:

we've attempted the boss 3/4 times now and it seems that it definetly has some kind of link with the chariots on the gear floor (not sure about the gears themselves)

the one time we killed a chariot (pretty hard mob, heavy AOE dmg) we took the boss down to about 25%~ but timed out/wiped

every other time we've come across the boss we rushed it to him so we could have a good chunk of time to widdle him down piece by piece, this didn't work either.

next time we going to bring full alliance, take the east route, bring at least one PLD, and try and get all our mages magic and hopefully SJ's and Abilities as well.

has anyone been able to clear any of the zones yet? i've heard about some JP's but nothing concrete.

The person holding the B. Thicket card caused the Archaic Gears to warp away as he approached. Could that be its use?

no, they warp away regardless of the card or not.

and that info about them not teleporting if you magic aggro em is false.

I thought the number of summon = the number of Gear that warped away.

what summon ? from ramparts ??

our first time we went to the boss (well my first time), we didnt get any ramparts, and all single gears on the 4th floor were warping away.

I thought the big gear on 4th floor summoned additional gear, no? I guess I'm just confused then.

They're on the third floor, the other side has all the trolls (trash) and all the puddings have spells/abilities/subjobs that got missed.

As for the bee, I remember someone saying they were fighting a rampart and it spawned a bee, so maybe zebra spawns this way too? (and wtf model would a zebra be here?)
