Another tech help question

Randomly last night, the connection on my desktop just completely cut out. It's not the cables, tried that, it's not the router or anything like that, the connection on my voip and laptop work fine. My ipconfig is showing no address for the default gateway though, dunno if that has anything to do with it.

maybe just a random fluke. If it continues, try a diff nic.

Before you get a new nic maybe try to re-install the drivers? can't hurt

Ok, saw you don't have an ip addy. First, try power cycling the router. If that doesn't work bypass the router then power cycle the modem. If your still not getting an IP after that, check your network adaptor settings and see if anything is in an error state or disabled. If that doesn't work, I'd contact the computer manufacturer for a possible bad NIC card.

edit: Yes, I'm at work atm... urge to PK managers that schedule people on christmas eve/day... rising. (Most of em play WoW though... ;_;)
