    Alzadaal Remnants Mini-Compiliation

I originally posted a much simpler version of this in the Zhayolm Remnants thread, and then was going to post it in the other 3 remnants threads, but decided that would make it look like I was merely trying to boost my post count.

Anyway, there are 4 "out-of-place" NMs (confirmed to be Slot NMs) in the .dats in Salvage areas. They generally do not fit in that area's respective theme. Here are the themes and out-of-place NMs for each area:

    ~Zhayolm Remnants~

    ~Nyzul Isle Remnants~
    Area Type: Assault (Special)
Theme: The Near East (Poroggos, flan, soulflayers, Qiqirn, imps, & archaic machines)
    Rampart Theme: Vana'diel

How to obtain the remnants cards: These luminian-plated cards are reported to be found on ramparts, gears, and chariots.

In other words, there are NMs which seem like they should be in other remnants areas, so maybe if you trade one of those cards to another area, you'll get the out-of-place NM. For example, trade a Bhaflau card to a slot or something in the Arrapago Remnants to spawn the Princess Pudding.

Anyone can reply with feedback/other theories/corrections/whatever.

Note to Mods: Merge this or something if you feel it inappropriate for its own thread.

    EDIT: Theory works!! But unfortunately, Jalaawa is a squidman and not a squishy qutrub. ; ;

EDIT2: Added Socket NMs. Interesting to note that it seems as if all of the Socket NMs are the same families as Slot NMs. Later I'll compile a list of monsters (both normal, notorious, archaic, and rampart monsters). It'll be more of a compilation rather than a guide of any kind.

~Aurik's Salvage Armor Drop Theory~ (Edited a bit to my liking, but credit goes to Aurik nonetheless.)

    About lv15 armor:
Body pieces drop (100%) off the NMs popped by other-zone cards.

    Lv15 Body pieces:
Ares -- Don Poroggo (Poroggo NM popped by trading a Zhayolm card in the Silver Sea Remnants.)
Morrigan -- Don Poroggo (Poroggo NM popped by trading a Zhayolm card in the Silver Sea Remnants.)
Marduk -- Demented Jalaawa (Soulflayer NM popped by trading an Arrapago card in the Bhaflau Remnants.)
Usukane -- Princess Pudding (Flan NM popped by trading a Bhaflau card in the Arrapago Remnants.)
Skadi -- Jakko (Imp NM popped by trading a Silver Sea card in the Zhayolm Remnants.)

The other 4 pieces each drop in one of the 4 zones

Bhaflau: Random drop off of any normal mob
    Ares Feet
    Morrigan Feet
    Marduk Head
    Usukane Hands
    Skadi Legs

SilverSeas: high% drop off of popped NMs (these NM also have a chance to drop lv35 items)
    Ares Head (Gyroscopic Gear)
    Morrigan Head (??)
Marduk Hands (3rd floor "Gyroscopic Gear" 1gear NM)
Usukane Legs (2nd floor "Powderkeg" Fomor NM)
Skadi Feet (2nd floor "Dekka" imp NM)

Zhayolm: high% drop off of popped NMs

    Marduk Legs (??)
    Usukane Feet (??)
    Skadi Head (??)

    Reef: Monsters
    Ares Legs
    Morrigan Legs
    Marduk Feet
    Usukane Head
    Skadi Hands

    About lv35 armor:
These drop off of NMs in each zone:

    Bhaflau:
Pop a "Dormant Rampart" somewhere on each floor by doing some task. Talking to it will bring you to fight Reactionary Rampart, which summons mobs. NMs spawn like Steam Cleaner -- a lotto on summoned mobs while holding the rampart.

Floor 1: Kill Mad Bomber without letting him self-destruct. Spawns where??
Summoned NM: Gate Widow (spider), drops Morrigan hands, Marduk hands
Floor 2: Kill all 4 flans??. Spawns east or west of the flan room.
Summoned NM: Skirmish Pephedro (wasp), drops Usukane feet, Skadi head
    Floor 3: Unknown
Summoned NM: Zebra Zachary (cockatrice), unknown drops
    Floor 4: Unknown
Summoned NM: Peryton (big bird), unknown drops

    SilverSeas:
Each NM has a chance to drop a lv35 piece as well as a lv15 piece
Floor 1: Hammerblow Majanun (fomor) drops Usukane head
Floor 2: Dekka (imp) drops Marduk feet
    Floor 2: Powderkeg Yanadahn (fomor)?
Floor 3: Gyroscopic Gears (3gear) drop Freya hands
    Floor 4: Citadel Chelonian? (Adamantoise)

    Zhayolm:
    Ares Feet
    Morrigan Feet
    Marduk Head
    Marduk Body??
    Usukane Hands
    Skadi Legs

    Reef:
Certain NMs drop lv35 pieces. Unknown if they also drop lv15 pieces
    Ares Head
    Ares Body (3f QQ)
    Morrigan Head
    Morrigan Body??
    Marduk Hands
    Usukane Legs
    Skadi Feet

    About lv25 armor:
These drop off of the end-bosses

    Bhaflau--Long-bowed Chariot
Special move: Homing Missiles (AoE 90% dmg), only used when target is directly in front.
    Confirmed Drops:
    Ares Body
    Morrigan Body
    Ares Head
    Morrigan Head
    Marduk Hands
    Usukane Legs

    Theorized Drops:
    Ares Feet
    Morrigan Feet
    Marduk Head
    Usukane Hands
    Skadi Legs

    ~Miscellaneous~
-You can see the Zhayolm Remnants from the southern part of Vozold Island (Mount Zhayolm).
-You can see the Bhaflau Remnants, Nyzul Isle, the Silver Sea Remnants, and the Arrapago Remnants on the Al Zahbi/Nashmau Silver Sea ferry routes.
-The undersea mirroring (the maps for the undersea sections before the actual Salvage area) are the same as the card relationships (Zhayolm/Silver Sea and Arrapago/Bhaflau).
-All of the Socket/Slot NMs have the same family, sentience, and black magic (inherently).
-All of the remnants areas excels in 1 type of equipment (they get extra pieces compared to other areas). Zhayolm excels in lv15 equipment, Arrapago excels in lv35 equipment, Bhaflau excels in lv25 equipment, and Silver Sea excels in lv15 equipment. How could both Zhayolm and Silver excel in Lv15 equipment you ask? Well, Silver Sea gets extra from the Don Poroggo, which is spawned via a Zhayolm card.
-All of the main enemies that correlate to the beastmen forces, are [ur=http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Tier_8l]Tier 8[/url] enemies.
-Left out enemies that correspond to the beastmen forces are:

    =Mamool Ja Savages/Zhayolm Remnants=
    -Sahagin (MNK/BRD)
-Colibri (Colibri do appear as rampart reinforcements in the Bhaflau Remnants, though; colibri do not regularly appear alongside the Mamool Ja Savages and do not normally aggro, so that could be why)

    =Troll Mercenaries/Bhaflau Remnants=
    -Moblins (WHM/RDM)
    -Dahak
    -Clusters (Bombs do appear, though)

    =Undead Swarm/Arrapago Remnants=
    -Doom Toads
-The "Fallen" series of Fomors (WAR/DRK/BLM), although Fomors are covered in the Silver Sea Remnants

    =Ashu Talif/Silver Sea Remnants=
    None

Wouldnt the Flan be Zhayolm and the Poroggo Bhaflau?

Zhayolm has Mamool Ja Savage enemies because it's the closest to Mamook/Wajaom. It seems weird at first, but if you look at Alzadaal on the /bmap, you can see that the Bhaflau Remnants is very far from Mamook.

This is by far the best theory I've read regarding these cards so far. Hopefully we can try it out tonight. And btw, trading all 4 cards to a door doesn't do anything.

I must say good sir, your theory is entirely sound.

but yeah, I'd say the flan would be Zhayolm, and the Poroggo would be Bhaflau.

I dont agree, if you've done the two zones it matches up differently. Zhayolm has tons of frogs to kill in it, while bhaflau has a shit load of puddings.

it depends how you look at it. You're right in the sense of which area, but I'm working with the fact that SE fucked up between Bhaflau and Zhayolm names.

While we're at it, shouldn't silver sea remnants be the NW one instead of the NE one? You board the cutter to the Ashu Talif from way over on the Western side of the Arrapago islands, and you don't start seeing Ephramadian mobs until you get well to the west up there...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the entrance to the section of the Undersea Ruins that connects to the section that connects to the Silver Sea Remnants is on the western half of Dvucca, and the entrance to the section of the Undersea Ruins that connects to the section that connects to the Arrapago Remnants is on the eastern half of Azouph. (Wow, that sentence was really hard to type...) So maybe they based it off of that?

Actually, just checked FFXIclopedia. Got them mixed up. So, you're right.

I do agree they could've named the areas something else. While it does make sense that those monsters are in those respective remnants (Zhayolm and Bhaflau), I always get the 2 mixed up. Maybe they should've named it "Mamool Ja/Mamook Remnants," "Troll/Halvung Remnants," or something.

Has this been confirmed yet?? Seems to make a lot of sense.

  11. #11

Your theory is correct good sir.

Arrapago Card in Bhaflau slot popped Demented Jalaawa, a Soulflayer NM.

    It dropped Anu's Doublet.

Edit: Picture of the NM (forgot to get one of drops):

Did the slot stay up after killing the NM?

  14. #14

The slot depopped after we traded the card.

The Soulflayer wasn't very difficult with 12 people. Ours spammed AM.

Nuts, was hoping you could hang onto a bunch of cards and do a bunch of pops in one run but oh well.

so it sounds like based on this that not only the card will pop an NM but the NM seems to be based on a mob of that region, Arrapago card popped a soulflayer which is consistant of the region.

Hmm, so it's looking like one body drops from the end boss, a la LBC, one body from the card NM, now where is the last body of the three needed?

yum, a BG-worthy thread. So tired of retarded shit like that ridill priority thread. keep em coming!

now that this theory has been resolved: work on the Reactionary Ramparts in Bhaflau, or atleast get SS's of the NM's popping
