I just found out about this even though the news is now a few days old, and I figure any fighting game fans out there might take an interest in it.

VF5 was going to be PS3 exclusive, but Sega is going to be releasing it on 360 a few months after the PS3 release. VF5 was the only reason I wanted to buy a PS3, now it looks like I have 0 reason to imagine the system exists

I wouldnt get your hopes up, they tried that before and it didnt work out well, seems SE hates microsoft to be blunt.

Don't need to get my hopes up since i'll eventually pick up a PS3 as well... (once they actually release something that will be worth justifying a 600 dollar console for.)

But yeah, I doubt SE will leave Sony with the FF series... cus the PS3 will just drown without it, quite honestly.

Maybe, myself i'm not to sure; without all the lol's i'll probably hear the PS3 is an amazing system, i love mine. So far i think its worth every penny and there isnt even that many games out for it yet. And... to the people out there that have/getting a ps3, Gundam: Crossfire kinda sucks, was a huge let down

Well I didn't mean it like that... but like, I have all these 360 games ATM, and the Wii + Zelda, and I only really have the weekends/a few hours during the week to play, so I really don't have any room for a PS3 right.

Justifying a PS3 for me would be MGS4's release, or FF13/v13.

Before that, I really don't have any reason to pick it up.

SE hate Eidos studio's for the way they released there games on the PC market.... They have a very platonic relationship with Microsoft.

Doesn't SE like to push graphics quite a bit in their games? That seems to be the case with most FF's, if so, they'll most likely stick with Sony just for that. And as long as FF is exclusive to PS3, it'll get plenty of sales.

even famitsu rated all the past VF games on better scores in gameplay than all other fighting games while giving it a really shitty graphics score... remember when VF3 got lower score on graphics, being a 3D game, than one of the 2D king of fighters? that was rather hilarious

Of course, you gotta wonder with S-E passing the DQ series to Nintendo as it is. Wii doesn't run with inferior game formats (cartridge vs disc) which is part of what caused the whole FF-to-PS thing to happen to begin with.

All depends on how well PS3 ends up doing, my guess. Sony is no longer the gamer's darling...that's ended since the PS2 era became older-generation gaming.

In case you don't know VF has the most detailed gameplay compared to other 3d fighters on the market. Eventhough it has only 3 buttons its control and frame data is one of the most comprehensive of all 3d. Tekken nor SC could come close to it.
