People should just not be stupid with their wiimotes and there wouldn't have been a need for the recall.

Theres no recall delay on the Wii's, thats just a rumor. Every Wii they have sold with the faulty straps were probably sold within days of them being shipped out from the Nintendo warehouses. When the recall was made, they just changed them in the factorys when they packaged them. They are still sending out shipments of WiiMotes with the old straps, but even if you do buy one, you can get x4 new straps for free per Wii serial number. Anyway it might have slowed production some, but they arn't stopping to take out the Wii motes and switch out the straps.
the Target and walmart in my area get their wiis on wednesdays...if you stroll in around 1:30, that's normally the time they put them out on display.
And lolps3, there were 4 sitting in walmart today that had been put out last week.
I actually received my strip replacements last week, they're not that much thicker (even though you can clearly see the difference, but I bet people will snap those within a few weeks as well.)
People just need to realize that they're holding a freakin' controller in their hand.
When you play RL Tennis, you don't throw the racket at your opponent, and your hand can get slippery there as well.
Either keep a towel nearby when playing the Wii, or you buy those $10 covers like I did and just put it over the guest controllers.
I don't need one over mine because my hand doesn't really sweat, and if it does I know when to stop the game for 5 seconds and wipe it off... but I don't trust other people, especially with my 42" HDTV infront of them, so I let them use the covered ones. (Which work very well, to my surprise.)
If there's any truth behind that recall = less shipments... let's all thank the fucking retards. And the people who can't just buy a different gift when the Wiis are sold out. And Nintendo for making such a hugely popular machine for any demographic. Bah humbug, back to playing my DS :/Originally Posted by Scythiroth

Wait you don't have a Wii.
I tend to believe the recall is effecting Wii's because my buddy hasn't had a Wii shipment in a couple of weeks. I think he said the last shipment was December 17 when his store got 18 Wii's. And I didn't get my ass up early enough to get one.
I've literally been to about 10 stores and no one had it... I keep calling stores, but no one has the Onyx DS.Originally Posted by miokomioko
It's getting so frustrating, especially since a few weeks ago everyone had TOO MANY of them.
Damn Christmas.
When people call for DS's @ Gamestop I tell them we have them, then quickly correct myself and say they are only display boxes. wOriginally Posted by Exoduso
lol so mean, but yeah why are DS's on such high demand all of a sudden... did I miss something? or is it just FF fanboys wanting to play the new-old FF.
Everything is in high demand at Christmas sir. We sold out of stylus for fuck sake, lol.
Nah, Gamestop.com was out of DS's well before December started... and it's been saying "Back Order" the whole time.
NINJA EDIT: EVEN SOLD OUT OF LOLPSP?
Wow, I didn't know there was a DS shortage as well... I had trouble finding Onyx like 5 months ago when I wanted one so I gave up and stuck with my old bulky one because I didn't want iPod white or vagina pink. Got an Onyx from my dad for Christmas, but knowing him, he probably got it off eBay like everything else he owns. Is it just me, or are the LCDs on the DS Lite significantly brighter than the original DS or is my old one just... old?Originally Posted by Exoduso
Also, is there any compatibility or reason for compatibility between the DS and the Wii yet? A wireless DS/Wii Crystal Chronicles sounds like fun beyond words. If I ever get my hands on a Wii... a Nintendo Wii.
