Ku-fim
Beaudeaux is spelt ベドー (be do-) on the Japanese version. The hyphen elongates the sound of the vowel so I guess it's intended pronounciation is... well, "bedo".
I used to pronounce Qufim as "Qee-feem" (as some people pronounce linux as "lee-nix"). But it seems the correct one is "kuh-feem"
I always pronounced Haubergeon "Haw bur sion" IE Excursion
Qufim - Cue fim
Someone on my LS voice chat once said "ugly puppy" so thats what pops in my head the most when i read it lolOriginally Posted by Cesaria
I pronounce it Haw-Bur-Gee-On, but I agree with you on Qufim. Although my friends used to pronounce it Quiff-Im (as in the large fringe)Originally Posted by Tricen
Mount Zhayolm? Za-yolm or Zhay-olm? I prefer the first one.

I don't know why, but I always said Beaudeaux as Beau-Dux
Caedarva = Kay-Dar-Va
Wajaom = Waj-Umm
I pretty much pronounce them the same way as Ringoko. I learned some Japanese, so I tend to use it to pronounce a lot of words.
This thread is pretty fun, I say:
Bee - Dou
By - Ahko
Bou - Ced - Ine
So - Jah
Kay - Dar - Vah
Waj - Ohm
Qwi - Fim
I try not to pronounce them though because it sounds turbo nerdy when I do D:
Adding:
Castle Zvahl (Zeh - Vall?)
Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi (Hoo - Zoi?)
Konschtat Highlands (Con - Sh - Tat-?)
Castle Z-vall
Grand Palace of Hu-Xoi
Kon-shh-tat Highlands
And I think Al'Taieu has to be pronounced with a french accent, like "Al-Te-yeu", or rather "Al-Teyeu" because it sounds weird with 3 syllables lol
Aragoneu - aragonew
Fauregandi - foure gandi
Jeuno - Jewno
Li'Telor - lee te'lor (say it like you're french lol)
Lumoria - like mines of moria, argg
Qufim - qui fim
Sarutabaruta - Sarta Barta (i'll never call it any different)
Tu'Lia - too lia
Aht Urhgan - when it first came out I said it like I was Ethiopian
Beadeaux is pronounced "Bee-dough." 4 years of French class ftl.

FFXI pronounciations, as said by myself.
Also, I'm sure I said Beadeaux wrong (I think you have to say that "eaux" part like "ox" or the "aux" part in "auxillary"), but I'm not gonna go back to fix it, its too late. I'm sure I got the others correct though.
Xarcabard

So, when people pronounce something wrong, do you just let it slide, or do you correct them? Or do you start pronouncing it their way so they don't feel stupid?
I guess your talking about me? I let it slide but people are asking so...
What's most obnoxious to me is when people pronounce the job abrvs. like acronyms, e.g. "Dee Arr Kay."
Agh I would hate that.
I just say it my way. I know I'm wrong on a few of them, but I'm too use to saying them that way to change now.Originally Posted by Stilgar
