I thought when he said features they dropped they were talking about all the low-level content that ToAU was supposed to be about.

I'm pretty sure ToAU was meant to be for high levels onry actually.

As for the ditched content, whatever happened to the colliseum thing? I need some Spartacus style action.

When interviewed about the upcoming expansion, Sage Sundi said it was going to be mostly low-mid level and solo content.

qft I really really want to see colliseum.. They have been somewhat slacking but salvage makes up for what they were slacking in. I kinda wanted to see the chocobo circit, colliseum, and I forget the other one they have but damnit Iwant to see it ; ;

Well, 2006 was a pretty nice year for FFXI so hopefully 2007 will improve.

Yeah, it has. ToAU has nearly replaced the old world we used to play in. If they could get rid of RMT then the newbie HNMLS's might migrate back to Jeuno area for those HNM's and then we could have a nice progression system like everyone wants. 2007 looks interesting, I see them finishing ToAU and actually going back and altering CoP, RoZ and original zones before the next expansion hits. Since we haven't heard anything more than it's being made, they have some time.

I really hope they didn't cancel colliseum. They haven't mentioned it and it was supposed to be released end of '06.

Colisseum, the Pit, and Chocobo racing should still definately be implemented eventually. The zones are on all of our computers (or PS2's and 360's) already just waiting to be put to use.

It could be that flag thing is a hint, since two of those guys are directors, they would know.
However, it's just as likely they had that up for no real reason.

With the exception of the wiki, none of the sites listed on the Square site are all that great.

Nobody wants a lv 15 THF checking the Square site out and coming to our forums to discuss the game.
