Wow, they actually called the chapter Swastika Break. It's kinda interesting, but I have to agree that the pacing is retarded and that kills it for me. I still don't understand why we needed a new cast of superfluous characters to help Ichigo get his powers back instead of using one of the existing ones. There are too many god damn characters already
See...
Who here thinks that it would have been better if all the issues since the Vaizards showed in FKT was filled with shit like more in depth fights between existing characters, seeing certain characters use moves we've been waiting to see for a long ass time, and so forth... with the silly final getsuga shit only just now popping up?
I'm gonna go with option C:
FKT arc never happened.
We'd lose Awesome Kira moment, and great animated Hisagi anime fight, but that's about it.
Inoue gonna get raped.
Getsu Shuriken? Seriously?
I guess Kubo pays attention to other creators' works after all, since he's clearly ripping this one off of Kishimoto.
That was my guess, too. Kind of like the whole lost shingami badge arc thing.
Someone posted a Kuwabara pic earlier. One of the first things that I thought, when I saw that he only had a sword guard while gripping his badge, was that he might end up with a spirit sword like Kuwabara. But, then he started throwing shit around.
Oh well.
Lol'd at chapter. Kubo did not disapoint me in a good way. XD Reminded me of Kuwabara, old skool Bleach and Naruto all in one. And about time Ichigo does something "new" instead of swing a sword around with one attack.
Can't take Kubo serious anymore, but he has definitely got my interest in this new style of random writing.
Reread when Ichigo first had to learn shikai with Urahara before entering SS, not denying that charging in blindly isn't also part of classic bleach though. Also to clarify I am not defending the overall arc, or the crappy new characters, only saying that I liked the last two chapters.
Get out of here with that crap. The only thing we do in the Bleach thread is bitch about how bad the chapter is, and like Alzheimer's patients come back week after week and read the next chapter after swearing how bad the last one was and we shouldn't read anymore. then we bitch some more.
anyway.
I personally enjoy Bleach, Even now, The only problem i have with the manga is the slow pacing, which is why I tend to read the manga and watch the Anime... even though i know the outcome i feel the anime has slightly better pacing and a little more freedom in explaining things you don't always get when you read the Manga.
Then Again I think i enjoy bleach so much because I don't spend most of my time trying to analyze a universe where you either die and go to A Feudal GhostJapan Village/slums/Military School to Fight evil ghosts, or become an Evil Ghost because you didn't go to Feudal GhostJapan and/or their Military School to fight Evil ghosts. Its more like a bad action movie... If you don't think about all the plot holes, you can sit back and enjoy the 'fireworks'.
Sometimes I have to curb my roleplaying instincts and keep myself from creating like a European equivalent of Soul Society where it's more like generic knights instead of samurai. But yeah, I've always felt the theme has more potential than it gets, if only being limited by the medium and Kubo.
Really, I'd have no problem with the world's souls being broken down into various spheres, all separate but stilled ruled over by the one spirit king. Where you'd go is just a matter of where you died, then, and maybe reincarnation would slap you in a different sphere by default.
Fools, only Japan matters here. No matter where you die you go to Feudal Ghost Japan. Much like how Japanese boy's middle school Tennis is the sole focus of the world in Prince of Tennis.
..But seriously, yeah, European Knight Soul Society sounds pretty cool, or the general idea of it being broken down by where you died.
Actually it's just all the other countries don't have Shinigami so they end up as hollows. It's evident seeing as Aizen stumbled across the little havana part of Heuco Mondo (even Chad almost turned into a hollow because his Latino descent.)
I would love for some scottish shinigamis to appear, Just seeing William Wallace pop up out of knowhere in a black quilt saying something along the lines of, "You think your arse is hot shite jus' because you got a wee lil' shvankai? F*** your shvankai! My sword is already f***in' 6 feet long." Then as he runs in to kill all creation screaming, "FRREEEEDOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Last scene is him and Kenpachi go drinkin' a beer in a bar full of dead enemies, END.
