Obis and Barspells

Since my extended search on various forums didn't give me any result...

Do Obis enhance Barspells as well?

Does weather or day of the week enhance barspells? I didn't think so..

I can't tell for sure.

The thing why I'm asking is, that last Jorm my Ice Resist was hovering between 297 and 304 or so. Unfortunately our WHM is JP and doesn't speak english very well so I couldn't ask her if she was using an Obi or whether the weather enhances the Barspells.

Obis mimic day and weather effects, and enhancing magic is not effected by day/weather conditions (except Enspells, I think).

Good example: Neptune's Staff > Terra's Staff when casting Stoneskin (yes, people still do this).

You are correct. With Dorin Obi, I have done somewhere around like 36/enstone damage in Altepa, with earthsday and double earth weather and enhancing sword.

You're just causing elemental damage and the obi is boosting that, it's not actually affecting the enspell directly at all. All elemental damage calculations are subject to day bonus, and thus subject to obi enhancement to guarantee the day bonus.

Enspell should also be stronger with an elemental staff. Same with spikes; the damage is more/less potent depending on your staff choice.
