Do you wonder, though, if you'll get accurate statistics when it seems like most people will only bother to post here if they get something cool? I probably wouldn't have bothered to post except I felt like asking that... :wink:

The reason I don't accept "old" assaults as valid is because you typically only remember the good shit, and you don't remember the bad shit (proof right here). So I can go and mark down 1 for Storm Crackows, but it skews the results because what about the rest of those times you did it and got crap? Has to be completely unbiased in order to make the results mean anything.

that are new but maybe don't think to post when they get the shit appraisals. Or even just a few people who will commit to posting the results from every assault they do. (My apologies mackerel if you only did one assault and happened to get lucky, but the point still holds I think).

That was just one lucky assault, if you want to call it lucky. Still, posted more to disprove the weather=storm gear theory than anything else.

That's probably because most people simply don't bother reporting when they get crap. Most of the post so far have 1 good item in very little sample, which is something I'm pretty sure we didnt see

Well, I think I made it pretty clear that posting only good drops and not good+bad drops messes up the results, so I can only assume that it was just luck. Even with all the reports of good stuff, it still works out to about 6-7% chance of Rare/Ex item based on all the numbers reported so far. Need about 200-300 more reports though to get anything good and/or start seeing a pattern.
