I can't get there either - do you have comcast by any chance?
Nothing. There's an article about yesterday's maintenance and the usual "reg servers going down in a few days" message. I do remember some in-game messages a couple of days (Saturday or Sunday?) ago about people disconnecting/being unable to connect, and I was having some pretty bad connection trouble last night (but I think that was my net connection acting up, not POL), but POL's not saying anything atm.
no, i have timewarner
I have time warner too. Southern California and I cant access POL.
TW NY/PA area, cant access POL... probley some routing issueOriginally Posted by thinktank
I had this as well, Time Warner sucks.
Your DNS is fucked up:
Go to your local IP 192.168.0.1 or whatever yours is
Go into your router status or settings depending on your router menu
hit release and renew. Should work then
Good luck
I tried release and renew and still no luck. I spent over one hour trying to talk to their help desk but they said its a DNS issue that they have no estimated time that they will fix.
I am even considering switching to dialup until I go back to DSL.
i had this prob a few weeks ago couldent get on for over a week then suddenly np out of no where and i could connect agen fine
at the time i was able to connect to everything eles games and web pages np and my router and nortan firewalls where both set to allow it
it started the day after they had a mait saposedly fixing this problem

I got d/c'd and was unable to reconnect for about 5 hours on Wednesday. Now I'm running into the same problem again today. I really hope this isn't going to be a persistant problem >< Can use everything on the Internet fine, just not POL.
Same again exactly for me today Palom.
I had the same problem. Northeast Ohio, Time Warner.
If you know a buddy that is computer literate, get their DNS server information from them, plug them in and go.
In my case I used my old college DNS servers and its perfect again.

yesterday it was working for me, now its not again.
apparently i can resolve POL's DNS so its not that, however, here's an interesting part of the tracert...

Mine was working for about 2-3 hrs with changed DNS information. Now I can get to Playonline.com but can't get into the game. Oh well, back to EVE-Online.

called time warner and after about an hour of trying to get someone who wasnt a complete moron (routed 5 different times to different technicians) I finally got someone who knew at least that there was in fact a problem and didnt tell me to use powercycle the modem.
Anyway, he said something about Earthquake jarring something exclusive to time warner and its affecting some other asian sights as well. Its a DNS problem btw.
I wasnt really listening, all I could think about was how much I hate time warner. Anyway, he said that he has no idea when it will be back up, but he wouldnt hold his breath.
As far as my traceroute im getting stuck before it even hits the 5th hop at 69.165.28.89
Consider yourself lucky you at least made it as far as you did izzy.
After reading the above post checked around and anything in Japan I can't connect to, be it POL or various websites.
Oh well, I wanted to sit back and play WWE vs. Smackdown 07 anyways
Seems to me like it's isolated to Adelphia. I have a friend in NYC who's on Time Warner without problems. I'm guessing they're trying to switch over the adelphia.com routing to timewarner.com and fucked something up but won't cop to it.
I've tried a bunch of different free proxy servers to no avail, so I'm out of ideas. Longest I've been able to stay connected today has been about 2 hours.
Just went back up for me
Edit : Nvm went back down 10 minutes later
I had adelphia which was just aquired by comcast and I can't connect in south florida, probably the first major problem I have ever had.
Well I have verizon cellular on my laptop and it connects just fine, just not trusting a dynamis run with it
I'm going to ping tech support again after dinner just so if enough people hear its a problem, maybe they will look into it, soon
exact same thing happened to meOriginally Posted by Krandor
