Has anyone been able to get FFXI and POL up and running on the final release version of Vista?

Once a good seed is up and I know it's legit, I'll let ya know.
I'm going to say yes though, since SE already is supporting it.
Well, if SE is supporting it (at work, can't access playonline.com), then that clears my final reservation about upgrading. That and putting about 2 gigs of ram and a PCI-E video card in. ^^;
They confirmed PCI-Ev2. Did ya hear?
Duno a ETA on it.
I remember someone saying a while ago that Windower may not work on Vista because of hooks or something like that.
Has that been resolved? (If not, screw Vista.)
Vista Enterprise running here, windower + POL working just fine.
The major thing is you HAVE to save at least your upgraded POL to copy over on top of the Vista POL, else the unpatched POL will continue to crash on Vista. I kept my XP install on a seperate drive so I could swap back if needed, so I did the standard fresh install (ffxi, Roz, CoP, TAU) on Vista and then copied over my entire \program files\Playonline directory, then login to POL + Check files, all good.
One note: I still can't get dvsparse to work right on Vista, but the Taz parser works fine.
On the subject of hooks, yeah...they changed the architecture around. I use VNC to remote into my PC at home from work, and I was using hooking to know which windows to redraw - not so good, very very very very slow. Changed setting to just use normal polling, and its much faster.
i can get official windows vista for free to someone if they wanna give me moneyz <,< (will be legit). School subscribed to a download thing i can get pretty much anything free thats computer related
