    Homebrew on the Wii

    http://wii-news.dcemu.co.uk/running-hom ... 44842.html

Anyone tried doing this? Im oblivious to how or if it could harm your Wii, but (generally speaking) it offeres (at the moment) a lot more games (obviously) than what is released for VC.

In all honesty, im not ready to risk my wii. On my PSP i was all over the homebrew scene because i couldn't really care less about it, but i love my wii.

How could this hurt your Wii? I'm confused. If it works, that'd be really really hot though.

Well, the homebrew stuff on the PSP had a chance to completely mess up your PSP (I actually had a 1gig stick die from emulators, my fault, but it still happened). I assume a lot of them come with risks.

There was a video of someone doing this on Youtube or somewhere.

the only way you'll brick your psp is if you're stupid enough to do something while it's writing into flash0. If you're that dumb, then you deserve to get your psp broken lol.

So wait, what is the benefit of doing this?

  12. #12

I turned mine off while running an emulator too never turned back on /cry

anyways, the benefits of doing something like this on the wii would be turning it into a gigantic emulator and quite possibly free wii games via burning discs and such. If anything at all, wait until its a bit more tested and confirmed before trying, thats my suggestion.

I only use my PSP for PSX playback (mostly PSX FF's)...but I didn't care whether I bricked it or not because it was just a lolpsp....

I'm not ready to ruin my Wii by trying this out though lol... I can play all the emulators I want on the PSP.
