personal opinions on nds and psp please

ive finally saved up enough money to get either NDSL or PSP, but being a big fan of both nintendo and square/koei, i look extremely foward to games for specifics; pokemon diamond/pearl and FFT:SS (add some other shit that are in plan)

theres been so many sony this nintendo that, i really dont want to hear anything about that. i just want to hear about how those system owners feel about them; was the money worth it, do you regret it, do you wish you had the other, pros/cons etc. i looked up shit on it of course, but im thinking it doesnt do justice compared to hearing from actual owners

    thanks in advance lol

ps: how does wi-fi work on NDS? this is the most curious thing for me. will i need to do shit on my nds after i purchase to use the wifi features? ie; buy some extra stuff so i can play pokemon/mario/blahblah online?

I believe PSP has a remastered edition of FFT coming out soon, also I happen to own a very sweet sound system for the PSP. You mount your PSP on it and it's so fucking loud it makes watching UMDs on it pretty cool. (T2 opening war scene comes to mind) I think PSP can be a worthy purchase.

IDK shit about the DS though so up to you.

My personal belief is that a handheld or console should have at least five titles that you're really interested in before you're serious about buying it.

I don't know what type of games you like, but I would have to go with the DS. It's cheaper then the PSP in terms of the base price and games, and the games are of a much higher quality. I mean, you got Elite Beat Agents, Phoenix Wright, and Mario Kart DS to name a few. Don't forget that the DS is also to play GBA games, so it's library is huge. The only thing wrong with the DS is that you can't find out nowadays.

    DS >>>>>>>>>>>>> PSP

Although PSP looks mighty tempting with its Power Stone Collection and Maverick Hunter Megaman X. Oh well.

If you get the hand of the hacked firmwares, go with the PSP for a portable PSX.

But DS has the better actual game selection, so if you don't want to risk bricking your PSP and everything go with that.

I have both the PSP and the DS and play them both moderately. I like the PSP more because it has the features to go online and play movies and music and all that jazz! Plus it has some good games out: Monster Hunter Freedom, Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, and a few others that are just amazing. It also has some great games coming out: Crisis Core, Tactics, Monster Hunter Freedom 2, and a few other killer games. Also if you play around modding your PSP and you still have old PS1 games or are willing to download ISO's you can play them on your PSP!

If you like the DS and don't mind losing the nice features from the PSP there are great games for the DS as well: Mario Kart DS, Final Fantasy 3, Diddy Kong Racing, Metroid, and a few others as well as some upcoming games that I would rather not look through.

Overall: PSP Since you can play N64, PS1, Watch Movies and Listen to music, and it has some great games.

This is only my opinion though and the games listed above are the ones that are attractive to me.

DS or PSP? the real question is this:

    GBA/SNES or PSX?

the wifi function is depends on the game, whether it is support wifi or not. If it does, then there is some wifi setting stuff to select in the game main page. And the wi-fi function is very simple if you get use to how to setup the wireless connection in your home (not more than 5mins). Unless you have totally no clue about what is SSiD, mac address, WEP and etc, then it might take you hell long of time to wondering why the wireless router will not let you connect to it (if you using the mac address filtering).1

I have both systems, I got both systems as presents. I have to say I play my DS WAY more than my psp. I have both castlevania games for my ds, kirby, mario kart, the mario64 game.

for my psp i only have three games lumines, GTA: Liberty City Stories, and Cid Meyers Pirates (very awsome game)

honestly i enjoy playing games on my psp IF i can fin fun games that i want to play which is the main problem. there are just way more fun games on the DS than the PSP.

it's a homebrew application for the ds that allows you to read book, movie, listen to mp3 on your ds and many more stuff. You can use your nds as a pda too.

More info here i guess: ttp://mdxonline.dyndns.org/archives/nds/

    PSX emulation > SNES emulation.

PSP all the way if you know what the hell it is you're doing.

Then again, I got both...and DS has good games (and plays GBA, so...)
