Yeah, there's absolutely zero qualms about that being the case with mangastreams version. Thus why it's bothering Sasuke the most and etc.

Since Naruto and the 9-tails are buddy buddy now shouldn't he be able to use sage mode and 9 tails cloak? I thought that he couldn't do it before because the 9-tails chakra was malevolent or whatever.

That's kind of what his most recent Sage form is: Senjutsu powered up by kyubi chakra.

Chakra shroud is floppy disk, he's on that blu-ray shit now.

Yea, the break to let the 9 tails recharge is probably his last power up ever, considering he's now mastered sage mode and his bijuu. Were in the home stretch peoples!

When was it mentioned that they were combined? Sage mode and Bijuu mode that is. If they are, then why does he keep using them separately? Wouldn't he have access to all the abilities of both if they were combined?

The beginning of the fight for example:

If they're combined, why does he make a clone purely for Sage mode and it's abilities? Just based on the dialogue from that page alone, it seems pretty clear that he has Sage mode mastered and Bijuu mode mastered (purely because Kurama is finally willing to work with him and not kill him). There's been no mention of the two modes being combined at all.

I think he still has 1 power-up left at least when he does finally combine them (if he does anyway). Not to forget, all the tailed beasts bro-fisted him before they were sucked back into the Gedo statue. I can't help but think that they all gave him some chakra and he still needs some chakra from the 8 and 1 tails (probably in the form of residual Shukaku chakra left over inside of Gaara). And when he finally gets it, he'll get an even bigger power up to be able to go 1 on 1 with the 10-tails.

And I still strongly think we have at least 1 more arc to go. I don't think Sasuke will just get lumped into the resolution of this arc. Considering the entire manga is rooted in their friendship/rivalry, it only makes sense to end it on an arc focused purely on them.

I could've sworn he combined them recently. After the Juubi came to life he did so in order to gauge its powers or some shit like that.

I'm trying to figure what the difference is between Kurama's chakra and nature chakra.

Null's link reminded us that the Juubi is just a boundless mass of natural chakra, which should mean Kurama is no different. Does the fact that Kurama has sentience change it somehow?

As an aside, the fact that we're so close to the conclusion might mean we'll never learn Naruto's secondary element. Bollocks.

Doesn't matter. Instead of kyubi/frog eye hybrid, we get Sage mode with Super Saiyan 3 Perfect Jinchuriki/Biju Fusion Chakra Shroud, which is even better than what he had when he fought Pain.

I can't help but think that they're both power ups that use natural energy, but are different power ups. Kurama is a big blob of natural energy inside of Naruto already in the form of a giant 9-tailed fox, and sage mode draws in natural energy from all around Naruto based on frog training, but they both give him different abilities and traits.

The best comparison I can make would be Goku with Kaioken and going SJ. Both give him a power up but in a different way and both were never combined (Well, there was that one movie where I think they were combined, but the movies were never canon). Or like saying Naruto knows martial arts, but the fighting styles he knows are Judo and Karate. Both are different, but at the same time, both are a style of fighting.

My point being, I still don't think he's combined them at all. One mode gives him a power-up and special traits based on the Frog's understanding and connection with nature, and other based on the giant, ever powerful 9-tails connection.

Sage uses natural energy, while SSJ3 Kyubi uses a combination of yin/yang energy. They're different, but similar; I know Yin energy can stimulate growth, which is why the mokuton started springing to life when Naruto first learned SSJ2 Kyubi. With Kurama being on Naruto's side now, there shouldn't be any reason why he can't use both, but he really doesn't need to now that he can constantly have a few clones sit by, gathering sage chakra while he fights at full strength with Kurama. When Kurama runs out of gas, he has a bunch of sage energy stored up to continue to beast-mode.

The dude is absolutely absurd at this point, and I love it. A true good guy having a shit ton of power is kinda fun, what with all of these anti-heros running around and shit in popular manga. Luffy is another one, but he doesn't flaunt this kind of power; not yet at least.
