Done with MNK/NIN, WAR/NIN, and RDM/WHM.
This mission is fucking nuts for 3 people!
You start out next to a cat NPC, and what looks like 20ish Apkallu NPCs (white names). Buff up immediately, because in about 30 seconds, Qiqirns will start to attack.
There are 2 flavors of Apkallu: large and small. The small ones will not move (female) but the larger ones (male) will behave like Besieged NPCs and start attacking the nearest target. Both kinds can take a few hits and they can be cured, but the bad news is that they technically only have half their actual health. When either male or female drop below 50% HP, they collapse. For females this means lost AP, and for males it means one less guard on your side. Curing an Apkallu that has touched a Qiqirn will get you hate!
The Qiqirns are all tough and use typical Qiqirn TP moves. They're also THF, so beware of the infernal Triple Attack. Qiqirns appear to attack in waves of 2 and 4 from both the east and west sides of the Apkallu camp. Keep your eyes on both sides! You cannot sleep, bind, grav, or really land anything on the Qiqirns at all, which is a shame because the Apkallu like to use Yawn a lot.
I think we ended up losing only 2 females, but it was very hectic with a bunch of squealing Apkallu waddling around and pecking things. This appears to be only a survival mission. At a certain point, the Qiqirns will disappear and the rune will spawn. I'm unsure if the trigger is so much time (15 mins) or so many Qiqirn kills (the rune spawned as we killed one, even though there was another in the camp).
