Unlocking Trials Weapons

Possibly a stupid question, but what areas exactly do you not obtain 'WS points' for trials weapons (or KS30 weapons)? I have been given conflicting information in regards to WS points being rewarded in places such as Dynamis, Limbus, Salvage, Assault, Besieged, et cetera. Can anyone set me straight as to where I shouldn't even bother equipping Knuckles of Trials. (My playtime has been restricted a lot lately so when I do get to log on, chances are I raid and have no time to exp/wspoints/etc).

meh I just do EP mobs or higher. Can solo most weapons or duo them, 60x sc's for trial weapons closing level3's only takes a little while. It's the easiest way to keep track and get it done for me.

I think it's "Mobs that yield exp" like BLU spells, in addition to mobs that give XP.

Personally I prefer helm beetles or knight crawlers in Crawler's Nest.

Kuftal has Amemet though :3 Im usually lucky enough to get him each time I go down there to break a latent/skill

Slight derail, but you're confused on the BLU aspect. BLU can learn spells in non-exp environment; many can verify, and I learned Body Slam in Limbus. The confusion was in how SE worded it.

Basically, a BLU has to be in a certain range to learn the spell, with the range being within the "gain exp" threshold. If a mob is killed out of the range, whether it yields exp or not, a player gets a "You are too far from the _____ to gain experience" type of message.

i would probably suggest finding ls friends to farm waters or ulli pop items so you do something semi constructive while removing latent.

Well, my main reason for asking was the fact that my playtime had been boned recently and whenever I logged on, I was raiding. :/ However, I got an exp pt for once and unlocked them last night. Thanks regardless.
