Need information from those who've tried this Assault with this equipped.
More specifically : have you ever got charmed when wearing this?

I am not talking about besieged, nor quest ( what quest anyway?).
and catzie : I'm planning to have the other 2 members wear this too. So if the effectiveness of this locket is really great. I'd have everyone use it during the assault.

The fallen soldiers have very low damage output and Lamia recharmed them very fast... making dispeling task really annoying.

try stacking it with an unyielding ring too (and a volunteer's earring if you can find people to help you kill that piece of shit, lol). I'm really interested to try a resist charm build against Long-Armed Chariot.

Recently started doing Lamia No.13 again to farm for Salvage points. 3xrdm own this. Dispel Fallen mobs, DoT and gravity Lamia No.13, and just nuke away on her. Everyone try to stay at max range and just kite if you have hate.

Just for fun on the last run 2 of us popped chainspell and killed her before chainspell wore.

Nuking and DoT make this run much more bearable than just dozing off waiting for her to charm the undead, also 10x faster.

I'd figure it's not bad if the wizard is dispelled right next to Lamia 13, thus in the center of the 3 RDMs. Maybe one or 2 nukes would get lost.

he nukes for shitty numbers so it doesn't really matter. Think non asuran rmt blm, that's the damage output it's got.

BLU makes this assault a joke as well, Geist Wall has a decent enough range to dispel all 3 and I haven't seen it fail yet. The Wizard usually stays fairly close unless you kite them around. We usually just charge in and let the BLU keep the undead dispelled. The only time there;s really a danger is when Lamia charms both your group and the undead. If the charm on someone in your group wears before the others, that person gets gang-raped pretty fierce.

Another trick to avoid it is to have someone with W.legs, Striders, Gaiters, NIN Boots, or Flee stand outside charm range and assist from there. If everyone else gets charmed and they have hate, they can just kite the group until it wears off.

on this assault usually i just bring 3 BRD/WHM or RDM, assign each person to dispel 1 fallen mob and cure, wont get hate from curing unless someone touches the lamia. Should be able to finish this assault pretty safely though it takes a long time, usually i finish with like 3 min left.

Thing about doing this with blu is, it basically forces you to kite the lamia, since the blu will keep getting hate after hitting it with geist wall (aoe). I went once as blu, wouldn't do it again.

yeah, if you don't care about time (which is probably the point of the thread) going in w/ 3 dispel'ers is an easy 1K assault points. if you never touch the lamia, you can just dispel the charm and cure bomb the soldiers safely OOR.

I've yet to run out of time, and if one of your dispel'ers is a BLM/RDM (that would be me in this case) you can just time nuke @ 5-8% health per BLM pending day, gear, and merits.

Most of my salvages have been paid for by Lamia 13, it's a pretty solid win.

I never bothered with resist charm; being a rdm I just did the following

Poison II, Bio II (III if you have it), Gravity -> Lamia 13

Followed by run around in a circle till she died reapplying as needed. /fume her and her ability to shoot through walls; but her attacks are pretty weak. Takes about 10-15 min with this.


When fallen get charmed its easy to dispel, they will take a few hits to break stoneskin. Be warned that if you dispel the wizard while its casting a spell on you it WILL FINISH before it turns friendly.

As long as a 'pet' has more hate then the undead she will try and charm the pet, thereby failing to charm anything.
