Shaft is the common denominator for the first 3. I think he was in nearly every show they made since Moonphase (except for maria holic and 1 or 2 visual novel adaptation)

They are stretching this arc a little too much in durarara. It doesnt feel like they made any progress in the last 3 episodes.


Also, I don't understand why Kida is still listening to Izaya...he should know better by now. I was hoping he would realize his plan or something when he met him.

Seems like they're trying to stretch it out to 24 episodes or whatever it's supposed to be, and not pulling it off very well.

In any case, rewatched Eva 2.22 again, so from what I understand, Shinji initiated the Third Impact by merging himself, Rei, and Unit 01, as opposed to how it was initiated in the TV series by the usage of the mass production unit.

Still, I don't know what's the point of Kaworu entering the terminal dogma in the preview if the Third Impact is initiated by Shinji already...not to mention how the real Lilith is supposed to be already in the moon where Kaworu was according to first movie...

This is turning out to be just as convoluted as the first series, except with Shinji actually growing a pair and Asuka being replaced by Mari, so I can't say I'm complaining at all

Also, fucking Izaya, seriously his manipulation makes Lelouche and Light seem like such a lightweight, and he has no fucking supernatural ability to really back him up.

So I bought Evangelion 1.11 and just finished watching it, personally it sickened me to watch the first couple episodes (well not episodes but where episodes originally), the voice actors wheren't even close to the originals and the scenes I felt where important where completely destroyed (even small things like the "I'm home" part between Shinji and Misato lost their touch with different wordings).
On the other hand the final episode where Shinji is forced to take up the positron rifle against the fifth Angel I felt was even better than the original due to the nature of that episode being an epic battle of the whole nation, or even world, giving their power to Shinji. The enhanced visuals and bigger explosions made it more dramatic, and they didn't butcher the dialog by having Rei say something stupid instead of "Good Bye" when she leaves.
So this leaves me in a very confused position, for one I absolutely love the Evangelion series and thought at least one of the parts of 1.11 where good, but on the other hand I thought the rest was terrible. Does the series get better? I've heard only good things from the newest release of Remake but I'm wondering if its worth dropping the money for the next few DVDs or if I should skip them as a whole.

The Tales of Vesperia movie was pretty cool, and for anyone slightly interested... you don't need to have played the game at all to understand everything in the movie. It's a prequel, etc.
Definitely recommend giving that a shot.
I liked how they played the game's intro during the ending credits too, that was pretty sweet.

Working Ep9 was great. they were incredibly faithful to the source material, Fap Trap Takanashi didn't disappoint, and Inami was specially cute during the final part of the episode, and the next episode is part were Takanashi will finally realize his feelings for Inami.

this series is unexpectedly great, Sure, it may not have depth or all that much cleverness but the characters and their phobias/hangups makes interesting.Though I'm disappointed its 13 episodes series, it NEEDS a second season.

I think this one most powerful episode in the entire series, The ending just breaks me, especially the music used during the final scene before the credit hit. OVA4 will be the conclusion of this awesome Arc.

Darker Than Black OVA 3 sub ? nope, I saw raw about 5 days ago, The ending stuck with me, since the events actually mattered and loving these OVA's, since this what I wanted season 2 to be.
