nVidia 7950GT, Vista & FFXI fps woes

I'm running 3.2 GHz Pentium D, 2 GB of RAM, Vista Home Premium(I know, :/), 256 MB nVidia 7950GT and two 150 GB Raptors and I get like 10 FPS on minimum settings pretty much everywhere..using 100.65 drivers for Vista, are there some settings I could turn off in nVidia control panel or Vista for performance gains, or better drivers?

iam on 101.41 atm and game runs fine other then by AH i get 29.5+ FPS with it crancked up high

1240x1024 forground 2048x2048 backround on vista ultimate x64

in besiged now with even high shadows on and getting 25+ FPS iam on BFG 7950 GT OC 512 MB

have dual core 2 6600 2.40 with 3 gigs ram

I'm having this exact same problem with an 8800gts 320 mb, pentium d dual core 3.4 ghz, and 2gb of pc5400 ram on vista home premium. Last i checked nvidia hasn't done a driver update past the version i have.

Is there any 3rd party drivers out there that might solve this issue?

Edit: I see they added a beta driver update last night. Anyone else running an 8800gts with those drivers? If so, how does it run?
