From Feast OF Swords quest

1. talk to moogle in the city - get katana

2. talk to nomad moogle outside the city

3. find armor and start killing it

4. when it dies - trade Wooden Katana to ???

5. you get Lotus Katana

6. start killing another armor

7. when it dies trade Lotus Katana to ???

8. you get Shinai.

Its kinda useless since you can't trade it to Luto Mewrilah so that your NPC would use it....

Yeah I got one too. I think if you have it equipped, your NPC has those stats, that's what someone told me.

Did you get the neck piece that lets you Teleport to your Chocobo Stables 10 times too?

The Moogle just knows what you're doing when you log off FFXI.

Must admit that the Shinai model looks bad ass. Needs a proper set of matching armor though. Level 1 Bogu + Shinai = Win. Huge fun in Ballista right there...especially if they added a realistic ::THWAK:: for the Shinai.

on carbuncle in southgustaberg (haven't checked other zones), the mithra aggros and hits you for like 60dmg. glitch or wtf?
