    RAM and Windows XP Installation

One of my LS friends told me a couple days ago that installing Windows XP with 4GB of RAM could cause problems. Has anyone else ever heard of this?

I am asking because I did, in fact, install Windows XP yesterday with 4GB of RAM installed, and I was experience Physical Memory Dumps. So today, I removed 2GB of RAM, and all seems to be running fine now. If this was really my problem, should I reformat with 2GB installed now and install the other 2GB later, or...I dunno what else. Halp!

How about you give me that spare 2gb of ram because you won't be using it anytime soon.

XP has a limit of 2gb of ram, even if it can read 4gb, It will never touch it. If you want to use 4gb of ram, you're gonna have to install a 64bit OS I believe.
