Weird sound problem

I have this weird problem when im playing FFXI on windower. When i minimize the game, all the sound goes off except the foot steps sound effect. So while the game is minimized and when anything moves near me i can hear their footsteps, i cant hear anything else. Anyone heard of this before? solutions ?

Windower is supposed to silence all sound from the game (music, battle effects, everything.) when you have the game minimized, so that's not abnormal. I find it very strange you can hear footsteps, though. Post a thread in the support forums on windower.net.

i have this happen to me as well although i thought it was just normal

Yeah this is really weird. when did you notice it?
I think mine started after the last update, im not sure though it only occurs on my laptop and i just installed the game on last week.
