Server Switching: Potential for slightly-epic lulz?

About three years ago, a friend - who I will call "Samsung" - switched servers from Alexander to Remora. For those of you who don't remember, Hades and Remora were created quite sometime after NA release... around spring or summer 2004. SE allowed open transfer to these new servers for a limited time.

Anyway, since the time "Samsung" has been gone from Alexander, another character has claimed the name. This character has reached level 75 on at least one job - but I don't know much about him/her.

Last night, the original "Samsung" decided to come back to Alexander, fully expecting to need to choose a new name. Server switch went through... and he was able to log on to Alexander... as "Samsung".

My theory is the newer "Samsung" is going to log on later on and be EXTREMELY pissed off...

Edit: Asked around, "Samsung #2" either didn't switch servers, or left without telling friends. Also, I saw "Samsung #2" idling in Whitegate Sunday night.

Most likely, "Samsung" #2 has either quit or switched servers.

Eh? Epic LOLs? I don't get it...

The guy probably changed servers or deactivated his account. The only way "Samsung" was able to keep his name is because there isn't an active account with that name on that server.

It would be epic if said #2 was also a relic LS bank with full kirin, JoL pop sets and enough currency for a stage 3 relic. And said persond decided to switch servers and fuck SE for letting someone else use his name.

Are you sure they even have the same name? One can be "Ilsamsung" and the other can be "Iisamsung." Or maybe "Oooosamsung" and "Ooooosamsung."
