Blu Cannonball (anyone done level 1 tests? And formula?)

1) Is there a post somewhere that people have tested the blu spell Cannonball? Specifically on level 1 mobs or really low mobs? I did a quick search and could not find any direct tests.

2) Defence is some sort of modifier/multiplier for Cannonball, but where would it fit into the formula? Would it be the pDIF?

Damage = Base Damage x pDIF
Base Damage = floor( (D + fSTR + WSC) x fTP)

There is a huge thread in the Advanced forum about Blue Mage job findings, I'm sure it's buried in there somewhere. I dunno the exact formula, but yes it's directly modified by your defense. Eat a steamed crab or a taco, get a bard for minne's, get protect IV or V and VIT etudes and you're set for a pretty high damage cannonball. I've seen screens of 900+ being common on Tiamat.

I think Studio Globi has some tests?? I tried using google translation on Studio Globi and I couldn't find any and/or the translation wasn't very good... could someone maybe link?

Its to my understanding STR > VIT > DEF in priority for this spell - the DEF takes the place of ATT in the damage calculations from what I've gathered reading around and playing around in East Altepa on Spiders and Dhamels. On low mobs, adding DEF seems to add very little to my damage. STR/VIT still determines the range of damage the spell can actually land in, DEF helps hit the higher end of that range more consistently.

Likewise, any physical hit on lower level monster gain little to nothing from atk+

I really want to test this, in the same time I'm a bit clueless how to test it properly.
Not to mention we are not sure if 1 blue magic skill = 1 "attack" in blu pDIF function

It does correlate to attack somehow, as you will notice boosting defense past cocoon does little to nothing on low defense mobs.

I don't know how you could test it exactly thou, the damage is so random. With the same TP/STR/VIT/DEF with CASA cannonball on a tw or ep mob, you can still see fluctuations of hundreds of damage, same thing with vertical cleave.
