FFXI POL Error

Just a few minutes ago I finished installing FFXI: RoZ onto my cousin's computer. For some reason when I click on the POL icon on the desktop, the program won't open. This computer runs Vista; could this be the problem?

btw this RoZ is like 3 years old >_>. I bought it in 2004.

Either turn UAC off or star the program as Administrator.

I tried both(well I was already on admin). Neither worked. Any other suggestions?

dont you need a more recent pol.exe to start it? I remember in the month I was on vista when I installed it I had to get someone to send me their POL.exe, but that was before SE started supporting it, go download the POL viewer for vista from http://www.playonline.com and try that

You can have both, I think he means he's got a dual operating system with POL running on XP but he has vista installed also.

I knew I should have just looked up what Windows this PC was running without listening to my cousin. >_>

Just looked under system info and it said Windows Vista Home Basic.

Have you tried starting the program directly from the Program Files folder (running as Administrator)?
