Wireless Keyboard (Bluetooth or otherwise) for PS3??

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good wireless keyboard for use with a PS3?

I'm not totally up to speed on what keyboard drivers are available on the PS3 and the only "gaming" keyboard I've seen is that Logitech with the integrated touchpad mouse... but it's $70 or so. I'd be interested in something a little bit cheaper.

Good ol' USB keyboard works for now, but the wife is pushing for some wire cleanup... so I'm in the market for something wireless now.

yea, some games utilize it, and it makes anything with text involved generally easier. especially with home coming in a few months, it'll be especially useful then.

I have my usb keyboard I used on my ps2... that I currently use on Xbox for ffxi.
But I'll most likely use that USB headset I got way back when with socom. It works.

Blu-ray player... with the occasional Tekken game. But when a game goes multi platform and I have to chose. I normally go Xbox, to boost my pathetically low gamerscore.

Odd...I have the basic $40 logitech wireless keyboard, and it works fine on both PS3 and PS2. I will suggest not getting an off brand keyboard, those tend not to work. As far as a headset..my Motorola Bluetooth headset for my cell phone works like a charm on PS3.

Has worked fantastic so far. The trackball mouse right on the keyboard takes a little getting used to, but it's really nice once you get a feel for it.

Do you know if it works for FFXI on PS3?

If so I might have to order this.

I have no idea as I don't own a PS3.

If the PS3 is USB compatible, it should work. But who knows.

Sorry to semi-bump this, but it's my thread. Could be moved to Tech Support forum also, but anyway...

I was wondering if anyone has yet to find a good wireless keyboard for PS3 that has compatibility with FFXI? I'm still using an old wired keyboard, but looking to go wireless and get more comfortable when gaming... FFXI & non-FFXI.

I have not seen anything. I have pretty much abadoned my PS3 at this point. Glad I got it as a gift and didnt shell out all that money myself. I do feel a bit guilty for not using it though.

No first hand knowledge on any of those sadly, but all are said to be compatible with the PS3 so it is a matter of what you want to pay for one.

Logitech and Microsoft Wireless boards seem to be the most common with it. I just use this one that i used for PS2 and Xbox. Saitek Black, blue backlight (corded not wireless tho)

Why do you need a keyboard for the ps3? it's pretty easy to type with the generated keyboard... (unless you installed FFXI on it or something.)
