2. Does it matter if thf has any form of hate on the mob with the desired drops?
3. Does the range of the thf from the mob have effect?
4. Does it matter if the thf is in the party who gets the kill shot?
5. Does it matter if the thf is in the alliance who gets the kill shot? (Multiple alliances in dynamis)

I have already looked on ffxi encyclopedia and done searches as to this and I believe I already know what the majority of the answers to these questions will be, but I must ask anyway. Thank you in advance for any large responses/flames/spam.

If you kill mob on 100% full moon with lightsday your TH increases because TH is a light based ability. Also you should be facing NW when the monster dies and eat a lucky egg while having a 3 leaf mandy budd in your inv

1) No, this was definitely dispelled by a SE interview at some point, who gets last hit is totally irrelevent.

2) In my experience from my year and a quarter or so of leading Dynamis, yes. Matters a hell of a lot. Whenever we have a THF pull in Dynamis our 100 Piece drop rate goes way up as opposed to having a NIN or someone else do it. The THF has to have hate to the mob in question in order for the TH to apply, just having them in the party will not do it.

3) I see no reason to believe this would be the case. Though being out of hate range might have an effect.

4) Possibly. A lot of people have observed better drop rates when the THF is in the BLM party in Dynamis, but I honestly think that it's just placebo because a THF In the BLM party is more likely to tag the statues with TH than one who is elsewhere. My personal opinion: No.

5) I'm not sure if it matters one way or another, but if I were you I'd put a THF in every alliance in Dynamis if you possibly can just to be safe, I mean, why not. 18 slots, it might be supersticious, but it's a nice precaution incase it is true.

As Septimus said, placebo, but we tried this sunday with THF (only 1 THF and no /THF) on BLM PT, we got 2 100's, and 5 AF. This game fucks people's mind >.>

This game's TH usually seems to be a placebo for me. Our Dynamis shell has like 4-7 THFs that come regularly (One has TH2.2, the others have TH2.1), and...yeah I don't really notice anything special. I haven't seen a 100 piece drop in a good while. Probably should placebo make the THF in BLM pt melee a statue for a second or two.

So I always have THF get last hit on stuff.....can it hurt? Nope
Can it help? Maybe only SE knows...and they said it don't but I don't believe them...just like they don't ninja nerf or fix AV right?

THF in more than one party helps a lot.

Honestly, I am not sure why anyone who does dynamis reguarly doesn't see the value of added thiefs and TH3/TH4.....the amount of currency that drops increases pretty substantially.
