DS game recommendations? (Primarily RPG)

My replacement supercard came in today (hopefully it works this time), and I'm wondering what people recommend?
I have no Japanese skills, but I don't mind playing JP games as long as I won't miss out on much...
Interested in any game, but defintiely the most interested in RPGs.

I currently have the carts for:
Mario Kart
Pokemon Diamond
Puzzle Quest
Etrian Odyssey
Pheonix Wright 1 & 2
New Super Mario Bros.
Star Fox Command
Castlevania: POR & DOS

I've downloaded the following:
Pokemon Pearl
Jump: Ultimate Stars (Having some trouble with this, it's pretty complex...all I want to do is unlock the Death Note world!)
Elite Beat Agents

Phoenix Wright 3 and Revenant Wings sometime in the fall.

And Lunar Knights is pretty cool. It's a spiritual sequal to the Bokuto series (the solar sensor game) although they changed the names in the English version because Bokuto was never popular here. I'd probably call it an action/RPG.

Edit: are they ever going to release Jump Super/Ultimate stars over here?

Unlikely that they will, too many different companies own the rights to the different characters/series in the US, it would be a nightmare

FFTA is kinda hit-or-miss from what I hear. And if he wanted to play GBA games he could use an emulator (boktai 2/3 don't count)

I'd hold out on buying FF4/5/6, since they're going to all end up getting the FF3 DS treatment with new 2-d/3-d graphics.

Unless you want the nostalgic factor while playing too.

I bought the FFV port, since I wanted a legit NA version that didn't have insane load times. (If a game is good, I like to give the company some money for it, even if they are just an evil corporation at this point ), but I'll prolly wait on the other FFs since I own the original carts still.

I just got my flash cart this week, here's my list of stuff I threw on it to try and some first impressions.

Meteos - Bejeweled-style puzzle game, well done, addictive
New Super Mario Bros - platformer like you'd expect, fantastic game
Yoshi's Island DS - platformer like the original, same game mechanics but TOTALLY different levels, not a remake at all
FF3 - RPG, shamefully I've barely played this at all yet, but it looks good
Advance Wars - Dual Strike - haven't played at all
Castlevania POR - everything you'd expect from a modern Castlevania game
Castlevania DOS - everything you'd expect from the sequel to Aria of Sorrows
Planet Puzzle League - Bejeweled-style puzzle game, different from Meteos, still well done and addictive
Pokemon Diamond - haven't played at all
Super Mario 64 - 3D platformer, surprisingly good remake with some twists thrown in, like playing as multiple characters
Super Princess Peach - platformer, fun, but... way too pink and emo
Tony Hawk's American Sk8land - standard Tony Hawk game, but cel-shaded, which works better than I thought it would
Trauma Center: Under the Knife - neat use of the stylus, but I really suck at it...
WarioWare Touched - minigames galore, came highly recommended but it's a little too hyper for me
Zoo Keeper - another Bejeweled game, not as good as the other two, but simpler
Elite Beat Agents - touch-pad DDR basically, a game I was extremely skeptical about, but it's actually pretty fun...
Etrian Odyssey - dungeon-crawling RPG, haven't played at all, but the premise sounds good
Guilty Gear Dust Strikers - the lone English-language fighter I could find for DS, it's alright, nothing special
Honeycomb Beat - puzzle game where you flip tiles over to try to make the playing field all one color, pretty fun
Mario Kart DS - 3D go-kart racing, duh... one of my favorite games
Megaman ZX - action platformer, about what you'd expect from a Megaman game
Metroid Prime: Hunters - 3D FPS, seems like a good game but the controls take a lot of getting used to
Phoenix Wright games - interactive visual novels or story games, whatever you want to call them... both are excellent

I haven't really gotten to play many because I've been busy at work and on FFXI when I get home, but so far I've played Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros the most. Gonna try FF3 and maybe Pokemon this weekend.

if you really get into advance wars and are anything like me, you'll spend a lot of time on it and love it lol

I probably spent more time on that game than any other DS game. i thought your impressions were accurate and its pretty close to whats on my flash cart also. Lately been a lot of pokemon, but i can't imagine playing it to the level of the people in the giant pokemon thread.

I thoght FF3 was awsome, beating the end of it gave me a feeling of relief and accomplishment for reasons you will find out if you play it.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales! The minigames will keep you busy for a month or so but its still a really good game for passing time.
