Rostrum Pumps for WHM

My LS is doing a Rostrum Pumps run tonight, and I've got an Antlion Trap and am trying to figure out whether to use it or sell it to someone else. My main jobs are RDM and WHM, with an eventual thought at raising BLM, and I'm trying to figure out if I even need these. We might not do another run for a year, so I don't want to pass my chance without being sure.

I've already got Goliard Clogs, Mahatma Pigaches and Nashira Crackows in the feet slot. The clogs give a better +INT and +MND and Magic Accuracy, as well as +hMP. Nashira gives +Haste, which will help with recast time (although not casting time) roughly equivalent to the Fast Cast of the Rostrum. Rostrum gives an additional +5 MP over the Mahatma, but at a cost of -3 MND and +3 Emnity. If I needed the +cure speed from Fast Cast, I would think Cure Clogs would serve me better... They might make Reraise or Raise take 1 second less to cast or something like that...

Am I missing something that would make these useful to me?

Nope, Unless you plan on leveling BLM. Other wise sell the trigger I say. I've had a pair sitting in storage since well I got them about 6 months ago.

With Goliard, Nashira and Mahatma feet, I'm not even sure I would need them for BLM.

@OP: You don't even need them for BLM really, except for boosting max mp, and activating sorcerer's ring latent if you don't have z.pumps. Yigit Crackows outdmg them comfortably.

Haste affects recast time. (and swing speed)

Fastcast shortens casting time and recast.

Macro cure clogs in on cure 5 to speed things up, carry around your af2 feet for stoneskin/barspell and you're set for whm.

Pumps are decent for a standing set: keep them on between spells for the casting speed bonus and then swap in something else while casting. But as you say, on WHM Cure Clogs may be better for that use.

they speed up curaga too, if you use that line regularly.

except for wanting them for max mp (if you don't have aq.feet) I don't see much point in getting them for whm or blm at this point honestly.

Why just Cure V? Cures III, IV, and V all have the same cast time. Personally, I don't own or want Cure Clogs, though. I pretty much wear my Blessed Pumps +1 full time and macro in Cleric's when I use Bar spells.

As far as the OP goes, I've owned Rostrum Pumps for a long time, but don't use them anymore on any of my jobs. They're a good piece of feet equipment if you haven't gotten much else, but there's room to grow out of them for every job that can use them.

z.feet are 10x better for that. since they don't lower your base HP you can leave them in when casting (sure they don't have useful stats but that's 50mp off the top you've got extra with the latent active if necessary)

true, although that depends alot on whether or not you can get people interested in doing it lol. (at least everyone is always up for a fafnir or KB! )
