"Infinite Solutions" is proof that no matter how obviously fake your videos are, as long as you dazzle people with tech talk, a certain percentage will believe every word. My favorite one is the one where he shows you how to "increase your WiFi signal" by wrapping an Ethernet cable around your cell phone and sticking it in a colander lined with tinfoil.

LMAO, you can even see the "WiFi Extender" next to his keyboard. It's not even close to legit, it's a well-known site that puts out "tutorial" videos to try to get people to do stupid shit, and... they nearly always succeed. The guy even has a fan base on YouTube of people who go around on his videos and comment saying that anyone who thinks he's fake is a retard.

    Edit: http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/01/28/go ... ate-prank/

Double edit: You can disprove this yourself, just put the address (http://tv.google.com/) in your browser, and you'll get a connection error.

Never trust a "technological internet genius" who's still using Internet Explorer.

Maybe he doesn't want his firefox to be stolen by someone while he is away from his computer, kind of like http://hideapod.com/

Actually, I've got a few programmer friends who swear by IE. Little saying they have, goes a little like:

    Noobs use IE

Experienced users realize how bad IE is and use Firefox.

Pro's realize how to work around it, and use IE again.

That is the most retarded thing I have ever seen posted on /bg/.

Thats like saying pros learn to have sex without condoms and not get aids. Those guys are not professional at all, they are just stupid and liabilities to the companies they work for.

And people who truly have a clue realize that that's just a poor rationalization to use IE again. The only reason to use IE over Firefox as a programmer is to test for compatibility or to use shitty web apps that use ActiveX controls, end of story. It's not a question of "working around", it's a question of using things like Firefox plugins to work more efficiently.

Re: WORTH WATCHING! VERY IMPORTANT! PROBABLY OLD!

Put it this way.. when I run IE it is from inside of vmware on a blank "non-persistent" windows 2000 install that has its own network interface connected to separate network. IE is THAT bad.

A fun question to ask these "pros" is how they know when they get a virus. I love asking that question, the answer cracks me up every time.
