PSP to PSX Conversion?

I think this is in the right section - Just a quick question..I know there's a way to convert a PSX game to a PSP playable format, but i'm just curious, is there a way to convert a PSP game format to play on a PSX? Thanks, and sorry if this is in the wrong section ;x

Probably not.

The reason you can do PSX>PSP is because of how Sony made the compatibility (granted, they didn't mean for you to play half the games you probably have on your PSP that are PSX originals, but still.. it's their technology)... PS2 doesn't have a firmware that adapts, so it's like trying to play a Gamecube game on the Xbox.

You convert PSX games into an eboot that is read by Sony's POPStation PSX emulator.

Your PSX doesn't have a PSP emulator that can read converted PSP games <.<

(you can un-convert psx games that have been converted, but I don't think that's what you're asking)

Nah, to be specific, I didn't wanna buy a psp and wanted to see if there was a way to get the 2 new star ocean games (Whenever they come out) that are coming out on psp to play on a psx. But I guess I'll just grab a psp.
