Jailer of Love glitch?

We're fighting at the moment Jailer of Love in Remora and this is what we found out!

The picture where I take full Blizzaga damage was right after arriving at the place, some sort of resistance PC's are now building versus him? At the moment only thing that's doing normal damage are TP moves and one of his melee hit landed for 200'ish dmg.

On top of that, his spells are getting interrupted by Dagger melee hits and SMN BP's constantly.

Too bad JoL was mind-numbing enough as it was... now there's even less to pay attention for when fighting him.

sounds like they forgot to set JoL as a BLM mob or something, like how they screwed up the Mamool Ja SP merit mob jobs awhile back and you could interrupt and resist all of their magic because NINs don't have Elemental Skill and BLMs don't have Ninjutsu skill. haha

Obviously not, since JoL was the one everybody had trouble with, right? After giving out countless hints on how to reduce JoL's regen and make him killable, they finally got annoyed with everyone's incompetence and just nerfed JoL for us so we'd stop asking for hints.

As the fight progresses it seems really just PC building resistance to his spells very fast. When new PLD are switched or "fresh" DD go in to WS they are eating full damage, then in a few more nukes the new PLD is at lolJoL resistance again.

I noticed this in dynamis as well, when slimes would spam paralyzega, I think only 1 ever proc'd on me, I resisted the rest. <_<

I noticed an increased number of resists in Dynamis Beaucedine last night too. We went up to Hydra's and a couple Beastmasters pets cast Blindga and after about the 3rd or 4th one I started resisting them. Sometimes multiple times in a row, which was very uncharacteristic of any job except a PLD with Fealty. I was on RDM by the way with no special gear.

I second Belkin I was in the same Dyna run and I resisted Para 3-4 times, this never happened before the uptade while i was playing a melee job.

I'm with this guy, it'd be one thing if it was just the higher resist rate, but the increased interrupts suggests that they lowered his elemental/enfeebling skill--whether intentionally or unintentionally--rather than some kind of PC cumulative resistance.

Maybe Allakhazam's complaints about the game being too hard lead to SE just saying "God damn, let's just increase 2-handed melee daamge and accuracy so that they can slack off on gear, and while we're at it, let's gimp the mobs"

Just helped some people out with Apocalypse Nigh. Resisted almost all the aga enfeebles in that fight. I was kiting Kam'lanaut so wasn't paying attention to how much exact the other players were taking from aga nukes, but it seemed moderate.
