I was wondering how the two-hand updates affected the performance of Bahamut's Zaghnal. Are there more uses for it now? Does it compare to kraken for drk zerging? I'm interested in the new possibilites for this item.

Where zerging is concerned it probably hasn't changed, except that you probably have capped Accuracy.
SE+BW zerging relys on Max HP and Speed(Haste), and the update hasn't really changed those, except for the -3% Delay grip, which has already been said, will not break BZ into beating K.Club.
As far as everyday use goes, meh... it's still a low DMG weapon, I personally wouldn't use it for merits or anything, still.
I'd like to see a parse before it's completely discounted. With the new 2H update and the way it affects how damage is calculated I think that even though you'll hit on average 3x less per round (or so, not sure) you might make up for it with the additional damage from it being a two handed weapon. Not to mention now you can take all acc gear out of your setup and focus solely on haste and HP. I'm still pretty sure a kraken would beat it, but I'd like to see a parse to see how close BZ can get.
I don't know about the Zaghnal, but I know that Soboro Sukehiro is absolute rape now. Was hitting Omega for 100 dmg a swing yesterday, wses for over a 1,000.Originally Posted by Projekt.Ein

amwould also like to know if someone could parse this and see the new differential.
Love Halberd damage 60
Fortitude Axe damage 64
Soboro Sukehiro damage 40
Bahamut's Zaghnal damage 24
This is why it hasn't changed.
Kraken still better for zerg due to more hits and accuracy is a non-issue since for any planned zerg you're going to have Feint.
Fortitude Axe seems to be broken as hell now. Was destroying earlier and I didn't even have my haub on me at the time. (Wanted to see how badly I could gimp the acc and still eat meat)
Feint may be broken, but its not end-be-all.Originally Posted by Xrave

Could the zaghnal be a decent replacement for the KC if you dont have one now though?
It was always a "decent" replacement if you had enough haste gear/songs/spell on.Originally Posted by Falisa
Ahh didnt know XD I never hear anyone mention that weapon.
With desperate blows and the new grip, baha scythe now has lower or equivelent delay than ridill at max haste cap correct? I think I calculated it post patch to be 72delay(scythe) 71delay(ridill) and now a -3% delay grip.

You need about 90% Haste for it to be a "decent" replacement, which is probably why you don't hear about it much >.>
Well if you have full homam, a brd, and a rdm it's not that hard to hit the haste cap. I don't think anyone here would argue that it's as good or better than a KC, but I'd like to see how it stacks up. I think it may come within 20% of KC damage, which is still astounding compared to all other DDs.
Assuming the wiki is right about it, the way Desperate Blows is calculated in haste means that if you were at 70% haste and use Last Resort, you get bumped through cap to 85% haste, correct? How does Hasso work into this exactly?
Well... >_> <_< yeah! Maybe I meant ingame (/.\)Originally Posted by Rocl
